Our job is to promote the city of Indianapolis and encourage business, leisure and convention travel. Every year, Visit Indy recognizes an individual or organization that has significantly advocated for and promoted Indy, driving tourism and enhancing the city’s image. Today, we honor the Indiana Fever—a WNBA team averaging 1.2 million viewers per game, bringing international TV exposure and media attention to our city. This team has increased season ticket sales by 265%, attracting fans from all 50 states and more than 15 countries. On National Girls & Women in Sports Day, there’s no better time to celebrate how the Fever are reshaping the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) and bringing fans from near and far to the Circle City.
