  • How about a little color to brighten up this cloudy day? Virtua Mount Holly Hospital - Ambulatory Surgery Center celebrated Holi with anesthesiologist Dr. Anish Doshi. This observance is rooted in the annual Hindu and Sikh tradition and welcomes the spring season. It is also known as the way to acknowledge the triumph of good over evil. From all of us at Virtua, we're wishing everyone joy, renewal, and a splash of color this season! #HoliFestival #FestivalOfColors #SpringAwakening

  • Jill Pinkelman had never met Budd Springer, a veteran in need of a kidney transplant. But when she learned about Donor Outreach for Veterans (DOVE), she felt compelled to act. For Jill, donating a kidney wasn’t about recognition—it was simply the right thing to do. Inspired by the sacrifices of service members and her own family’s legacy of giving back, she underwent surgery in March 2023 to give Budd a second chance at life. Read their incredible story and how Virtua’s transplant team and DOVE Transplant helped bring them together: https://bit.ly/41Scqiu #donatelifemonth #kidneyhealth #transplantjourney #OrganDonation #livingdonor

  • Since it's officially Donate Life Month, we'd love to introduce you to Dr. Yesenia Galan, a Virtua Advanced Transplant & Organ Health nephrologist!    What’s the most rewarding part of her job? The relationships she builds with her patients! Beyond managing chronic kidney disease with evidence-based treatments, Dr. Galan cherishes the personal connections—celebrating wins, supporting through losses, and being a trusted partner in their health journeys.   Dr. Galan’s journey into nephrology started during her internal medicine training, where she worked with diabetic and hypertensive patients. That experience sparked two lifelong passions: understanding renal physiology and empowering patients with the knowledge to care for themselves. Now, as a nephrologist at Virtua Health, she combines expert medical care with patient education every day!   After a long shift, Dr. Galan loves to unplug and recharge in nature. And outside of work, she fuels her adventurous spirit through travel, gaining new perspectives and experiences along the way.   Drop a 💙 in the comments to show some love for Dr. Galan!   #Nephrology #KidneyHealth #DonateLife

  • Today, we are proud to celebrate International Transgender Day of Visibility. At Virtua, we stand in support of our transgender and non-binary community, advocating for inclusive, affirming, and compassionate care. Because at the end of the day, everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued - and we thank our colleagues at Virtua Pride Primary Care for providing this essential service. #TransDayOfVisibility #InclusiveHealthcare #TransHealthMatters #LGBTQHealthcare

  • To celebrate #DoctorsDay, we gave our docs a break from the serious questions and asked them the really important stuff—like their favorite medical TV show, go-to snack after a long shift, and more! From all of us at Virtua Health, we'd like to wish our doctors and all the amazing docs out there a very happy Doctors' Day! • They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And if that's the case, consider this event EXTRA essential!
