Last week, my colleague Tony Kostreski, PLA, ASLA and I had the privilege of representing Vectorworks at the LABash Conference, a student-led event for landscape architecture. It was inspiring to connect with future designers and discuss how they can integrate Vectorworks into their studio workflow. I even met some student users from my alma mater, the University of Manitoba, who shared great feedback. It was a special moment to catch up with my former professors, Anna Thurmayr and Dietmar Straub, who were also there with their students. It brought me back to my student days, when I was a student connecting with peers and professionals—such a humbling experience. I also had the pleasure of meeting professionals like Brent Baker and his team, whose work and origin story are truly amazing. I got to meet with Shouzhi (Neo) Huang, the MD of D5 Render , one of our partners. I especially got to hear firsthand how our users appreciate Vectorworks. Mansoor Ma thank you for sharing you Vectorworks story with us. I look forward to future collaborations! Another highlight was gifting a wireless SpaceMouse, sponsored by 3Dconnexion , to Calin Quinlan who was enthused by all things Vectorworks. Oh and I got to hold the Permaloc Cup which is traditionally passed to the next LABash host. Overall, LABash was an incredible experience.
