📍 Last week, VANGUARD EU 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗟 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in Ostia, Rome, Italy, organised by the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) in cooperation with the 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝗶 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮. 🎯 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗟 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 & 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 aimed to explore trends, challenges, and opportunities to 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 (𝗛𝗥𝗖𝗡𝘀) and strengthen CEPOL’s training offerings by incorporating insights from the discussions — topics of 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗! 🧠 The Project Coordinator (M4D - Multimodal Data Fusion and Analytics Group at Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH)-Information Technologies Institute (ITI)) presented the 𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀, and 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗿, with particular focus on its goals towards: 🔹 the provision of an 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 🔹 the delivery of an 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀, 🔹 the realisation of 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, and 🔹 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. 🗣️ Moreover, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 (representing VANGUARD partner 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗔) participated in a panel discussion on “𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗥𝗖𝗡𝘀”, where she gave an invited talk on: “𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴”, which included valuable 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀. 🙏 A big thank you to #CEPOL for the opportunity to share our work at the #CEPOLRSC and engage in fruitful discussions with leading experts on tackling #HRCNs!
