#AlliesAndPartners highlight: 🇦🇺 Recently, #USSPACECOM held a Flag Display Ceremony highlighting the growing cadre of Foreign Liaison Officers at USSPACECOM and Vandenberg Space Force Base. In the face of evolving threats, the U.S. maintains its strategic advantage through the unified mission focus of our exceptional joint warfighters, our unmatched commercial space sector, and our expanding network of empowered alliances and partnerships. Australia is one of our most critical Allies, operating alongside USSPACECOM through Multinational Force-Operation Olympic Defender. As a longstanding military space partner, an Australian liaison officer is fully integrated within the command, ensuring seamless cooperation and coordination between the U.S. and Australia. As USSPACEOM and MNF-OOD Commander Gen. Stephen Whiting has said, strengthening partnerships contributes to a greater understanding of threats and enhances our collective security by sharing the burden of space operations. USSPACECOM remains committed to building a coalition of teammates to achieve a collective advantage. When asked about Kwajalein Atoll during his posture hearing, USSPACECOM Commander Gen. Stephen Whiting said, "Kwaj is very important for our space mission...there's five sensors there that support our mission. We have advocated with the Department of the Army (US Army) for investments there to make sure that the infrastructure can support those missions." 👇
“RTS plays such a critical role in our nation’s security. Whether it’s testing or space domain awareness, Kwajalein’s key terrain will continue to provide enhanced capabilities to U.S. Space Command and the United States Space Force.” ~LTG Sean Gainey, #ArmySMDC CG https://lnkd.in/eNPmXN2H U.S. Army Pacific
