#ICYMI: Chief Master Sgt. Jacob Simmons, #USSPACECOM command senior enlisted leader, recently visited the 222nd Command and Control Squadron based out of the New York Air National Guard. This unit, known as the Triple Deuce, specializes in space domain awareness, providing crucial support to the NRO and the Joint Commercial Operations Cell, and expands space collaboration with international partners through the State Partnership Program, ensuring the U.S. and its Allies can operate safely in space. #NeverADayWithoutSpace

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Exploration Ground Systems Landing and Recovery team and the United States Department of Defense successfully completed the third recovery test for the crewed Artemis II mission aboard amphibious transport dock USS Somerset (LPD 25) off the coast of San Diego, March 31.   The primary objectives for Underway Recovery Test 12 were to demonstrate and evaluate the processes, procedures, and hardware for recovery operations for the crewed Artemis II mission around the moon.   Working in support of #USSPACECOM, additional US Navy units included Expeditionary Strike Group 3, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 1, and Amphibious Construction Battalion 1, with support from United States Air Force’s First Air Force, Detachment 3, and United States Space Force’s 45th Space Launch Delta Weather Squadron. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gpu8Jm6j

#ICYMI: The Missile Defense Agency and the US Navy successfully executed FTX-40, demonstrating advanced tracking and engagement capabilities. This test showcased the integration of space capabilities, passing date through fire control to enable a simulated Aegis engagement of the hypersonic target. When asked about Kwajalein Atoll during his posture hearing, USSPACECOM Commander Gen. Stephen Whiting said, "Kwaj is very important for our space mission...there's five sensors there that support our mission. We have advocated with the Department of the Army (US Army) for investments there to make sure that the infrastructure can support those missions." 👇
