Get ready for our next accelerated launch mission.🚀 This one is a partnership between Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) and Space Operations Command (SpOC) for the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) GPS III-7 mission. Our GPS III satellite will launch with M-Code technology to provide warfighters with capability three-times more accurate and eight-times more resistant to jamming. Space Vehicle 08 (SV-08) is expected to launch with SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL no earlier than the end of May 2025. In a demonstration of commitment to joint professional military education and the cultivation of its unique service culture, Col Craig Frank, Chief Information Officer for USSF’s Space Systems Command, along with fellow Guardian students and faculty, presented SSC’s “Space Starts Here” portrait to the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Va. Maj Gen Thomas Crimmins, commandant, Joint Forces Staff College, accepted the portrait on behalf of the school. The initiative aligns with Chief of Space Operations Gen. B. Chance Saltzman's focus on "Amplifying the Guardian Spirit." The artwork, created by Rick Herter, symbolizes the USSF's emerging identity.

With over three decades of experience in national security, defense policy, and leadership across both the U.S. government and private sector, Dr. Rood has shaped global defense strategies and built critical partnerships.
