Workplace Campaigns are off and running to support our 2025 annual campaign, and we love seeing all the ways you are celebrating and engaging your teams!  We can spend all day sharing all the good, but here are a few recent highlights: ➡️ Communications Workers of America Union hosted a breakfast raffle, helping to raise $27,000 for United Way!  ➡️ Power & Construction Group, Inc. is working to surpass this year’s goal of $12,000 and are well on their way to do that!  ➡️ University of Rochester, one of our biggest workplace campaigns, is spotlighted their changemakers at their kickoff!   ➡️ Rochester City School District's kick-off event was full of impact moments from students, grounding us in the “why” of our mission. No matter the size of your workplace, you are making a huge difference! 🌟 Some recent Backpack Program wins 🌟 The United Way Backpack Program currently provides essential food items to around 320 students in Genesee County. 1. The Genesee County Youth Bureau donated $12,134 to support the Backpack Program! A huge thank you to the Youth Bureau for their ongoing support! 2. The work study program at Batavia Central School District recently helped pack 145 bags of food for the program! Congratulations to our former United Way President & CEO and overall community giant Fran Weisberg. Fran was recently celebrated at Lifespan of Greater Rochester's Celebration of Aging for a lifetime of remarkable service. Fran received both a Key to the City and the County in recognition of her impacts. In addition to United Way, Fran served as the CEO of Lifespan and Common Ground Health. Our nonprofits are stronger and community greater because of Fran.
