Meet Amanda C., the Vice President of Hospitality Operations for Under Canvas Inc., who leads a team of 64% women GMs. Amanda has been with the company since 2015, starting as a Camp Concierge at Under Canvas Glacier. She values the opportunity to collaborate across all departments and appreciates working alongside such hard-working, fun, and dedicated people to deliver an unforgettable experience to guests while fostering a great work environment for our team. Prior to joining Under Canvas, Amanda worked with AmeriCorps as a literacy tutor and later as a paralegal at an employment law firm. “I had never really thought of hospitality as a career option, but stumbled across Under Canvas back in 2015 and thought it would be a fun summer job to transition to after leaving the law firm. Who knew it would be so much fun! There are so many layers to what we do as a hospitality company. Our setup crew is hard at work as we prepare for the 2025 season! With camps opening in just one month, we’re incredibly grateful for their dedication and effort in the field to ensure everything is ready for our guests. Due to the seasonal nature of our business, most of our camps have to be deconstructed and reconstructed each season. It’s a big job, but one that’s essential not only to creating the best experience for our guests but also to maintaining our commitment to a low-impact ethos.
