  • There’s a lot of misinformation out there about undocumented immigrants and crime. The truth? Multiple studies show that undocumented immigrants commit fewer crimes than U.S. citizens. Yet, conversations around mass deportation continue—threatening to tear families apart, destabilize communities, and hurt the economy. Key facts:
📉 Higher immigration rates are linked to lower violent crime rates
🛠 Many industries (agriculture, construction, and manufacturing) rely on immigrant labor
💰 Undocumented immigrants pay billions in taxes annually—funding programs they can’t even access
⚠️ Mass deportation would cost taxpayers hundreds of billions and weaken the economy
At ULOM, we believe in sharing the facts—but we also want to be clear: we are here to support legal immigrants. Our mission is to help those who come to the U.S. through legal pathways find jobs, build a life, and secure permanent residency.
The immigration system is complex, but deporting millions isn’t the answer. We need policies that keep families together and strengthen communities—not tear them apart.

  • On February 3, 2025, communities across the United States witnessed the profound impact of the "Day Without Immigrants" protest. In cities like Chicago, Detroit, and Los Angeles, numerous immigrant-owned businesses, including restaurants, food trucks, and markets, closed their doors to highlight the indispensable role immigrants play in our economy and society. This collective action served as a powerful reminder of the void that would exist without the contributions of immigrant workers and entrepreneurs. The protest was a response to recent immigration policies and enforcement actions that have instilled fear and uncertainty within immigrant communities. By abstaining from work, shopping, and daily activities, participants aimed to showcase the economic and cultural void that would emerge in their absence. While some businesses fully closed, others operated with limited services, reflecting the complex balance between supporting the cause and managing financial realities. This movement underscores the critical importance of immigrants in our daily lives and the broader economy. It's a call to recognize and appreciate the diverse contributions that enrich our communities. We encourage you to share this message to raise awareness and we will continue to share resources and updates related to immigration so hit that follow button. https://lnkd.in/gNCZBwaN KCTV/KSMO/tv

  • Important Update for TPS Holders! U.S. If you have Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and a removal or deportation order, there may be a new opportunity for you to apply for a green card!  What's changing? USCIS now allows TPS holders with past removal orders to request case reopenings and apply for adjustment of status (a green card) if eligible. Next Steps: 1️⃣ Talk to an immigration attorney to see if you're eligible. 2️⃣ Request ICE OPLA to join in a Joint Motion to Reopen. 3️⃣ File the right forms (I-485 & I-290B) to adjust your status. 4️⃣ Stay informed and take action! This could be a life-changing opportunity for many people—so please share this with anyone who might need it! 💙📲 #ImmigrationNews #TPS #GreenCard #KnowYourRights

  • Have you ever thought about where your favorite Greek yogurt comes from? Chobani, the yogurt so many of us reach for, isn’t just a top-selling brand—it’s the result of a dream brought to life by an immigrant. Hamdi Ulukaya came to the U.S. from Turkey, bought a struggling yogurt factory in 2005, and turned it into one of the most successful food brands in the country. His story is not just about building a business; it’s about creating opportunities for others. Today, 30% of Chobani’s workforce are refugees and immigrants, proving that success is even more meaningful when it’s shared. Immigrants like Hamdi don’t just bring ideas—they bring innovation, resilience, and the drive to make a difference. Let’s take a moment to celebrate the contributions of immigrants in shaping the world around us. Follow us to hear more inspiring stories and share this with someone who might need a reminder of the power of one person’s vision.

  • Our founder’s journey from Nigeria to Kansas City is a testament to resilience and adaptability 👇. After receiving partial scholarships from UMKC and Texas Southern University, the final decision came down to more than academics—it was about survival in a new environment. A quick Google search revealed Kansas City’s freezing winters, an intimidating prospect for someone from Nigeria who thrives in warmth. Yet, despite the challenges, he embraced the Midwest’s cold climate and has found a home here for over eight years. It didn't come without challenges! Which is why Zik created Ulom!  ULOM helps employers connect with talented international individuals like our founder, who bring determination and unique perspectives to the workforce. By providing support for navigating transitions and resources for cultural acclimation, ULOM ensures international hires feel supported and empowered to succeed in their roles. Employers, join us in fostering diverse and resilient teams by partnering with ULOM today. Email us at ulomapp@gmail.com
