Uber is all in on an electric future and this week we announced another big step: Uber Green is now 100% electric in the U.S. ⚡ ⚡ What does this mean? If you’re interested in all-electric rides, simply request an Uber Green and you’ll get an EV for about the same price as an UberX. Thanks to the 200k+ active EV drivers on Uber, we’ve been making similar moves globally. We’ve shifted Uber Green to all-electric rides in 40+ markets around the world, including France, Australia and New Zealand. We’re bullish on electric because it’s better – and it’s good business. Drivers tell us they like never paying for gas again and avoiding maintenance costs. Riders tell us they enjoy a smoother, quieter, & more modern ride at no extra cost to them. And fewer emissions mean healthier, cleaner air for everyone in our cities. Better is better 💚 Seven months in and I could not be more energized by the work this team is doing to encourage EVs on Uber! Onward ⚡

Every year, nearly 1.8 million medical appointments are missed at the VA due to transportation barriers. There are faces behind every one of those missed appointments. The veteran who needs care, the clinician who is there to help, and the team working to support them both. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Innovation Lab came to Uber Health to try something new. For veterans - especially those dealing with chronic conditions, living in rural areas, or facing social isolation - getting to and from a medical appointment can be an insurmountable hurdle. Through this collaboration, VA providers can request rides on behalf of veterans- no app, smartphone, or credit card required. It’s a simple solution that’s helping reduce missed visits and support better outcomes. This isn’t about innovation for its own sake. It’s about doing what we can—with the tools we have—to make sure people can access the care they need. Proud of the work our teams are doing to make tech work for the needs of healthcare.
