House bill to repeal 12% FET on trucks reintroduced An article from CCJ — Commercial Carrier Journal highlights that this week, the Modern, Clean, and Safe Trucks Act was reintroduced in the House of Representatives. The bill is led by Representatives Doug LaMalfa (R-CA), Chris Pappas (D-NH), Darin LaHood (R-IL), Salud Carbajal (D-CA), and Max Miller (R-OH). TCA has long advocated for repealing the Federal Excise Tax (FET), as it enables our members to invest in newer, safer, and more environmentally friendly equipment.
