✅ In the spirit of youth advocacy, our participants at Our Piece of The Pie Inc. had the opportunity to travel to West Haven and chat with adult professionals on April 11th, 2025! ✅ They had very intentional conversations regarding multiple topics including but not limited to misleading opportunities, employment, mental health, advocacy education, justice system, and resources. Our youth moderators led the conversation with such power and precision. We ended the TOW Cohort Session Nine with a tour of the University of West Haven. ✅ Special shout-out to the Tow Youth Justice Institute for inviting us and hosting this advocacy opportunity. Thanks to my fellow OPP staff members for support the youth in their advocacy efforts: Nahomi, Lindsay, Tajah Ryder, and Lillian Bertram, MBA. ✅OPP YOUTH, YOU ARE WORTHY TO BE IN EVERY SPACE THAT YOU ENTER! #deionkelly #socialjustice #youthadvocacy #advocacyeducation #socialchangeagent
