About us
Three Squares New England is a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to run community events that raise critical funds for hunger relief organizations. Our signature event, The Ride For Food, is an annual bike ride and 5K walk that brings together more than 20 hunger relief nonprofits from across Eastern MA, hundreds of cyclists and walkers, volunteers, and sponsors. Every dollar raised by the hunger-relief teams directly supports 350,000 people affected by food insecurity as 100% of the funds raised are returned to the partners.

We are so appreciative of the Charles River Regional Chamber for choosing Three Squares New England as their nonprofit partner for Spring Seasonings. Many of our board members will be at the event on Monday night and we'll have a table - so please stop by to chat!
At this year's Spring Seasonings, the cherry on top is our donation to Three Squares New England. This contribution supports their mission to fight food insecurity across Eastern Massachusetts, ensuring no one in our community goes hungry. "With one in three households with children in Massachusetts facing food insecurity, the need is greater than ever," says Three Squares Executive Director Marena Burnett. "By attending Spring Seasonings, you're not only enjoying the best of local dining, you're also helping to support more than 400,000 people in need." Thanks to our presenting sponsor, The Village Bank! The USDA has canceled $3.3 million in food intended for delivery to Massachusetts food banks through The Emergency Food Assistance Program. Nearly $2.3 million, which equals around 105,000 cases of food, was designated for the Greater Boston Food Bank. In Massachusetts, one in five households struggles to put food on the table. Food banks, SNAP, and Farm to School grants face threats from the Trump administration. We're disappointed that our current administration continues to attack food assistance programs that support our most vulnerable populations. We'll continue to fight against these harmful policies and advocate for everyone in Massachusetts’ right to access and afford food with dignity. https://lnkd.in/e9_g8vXg

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, children who live in households that are impacted by food insecurity are more likely to face worse health outcomes, including being sick more often, taking longer to recover from illness, and requiring hospitalization more frequently.
