Imagine your favorite pickleball paradise, now embroiled in a $284 million scandal. Legacy Park in Mesa, Arizona, once a beacon of multi-sport dreams, is now the center of a major financial fraud case. Federal authorities have unveiled a scheme involving forged documents and inflated projections used to lure investors into municipal bond offerings for the park. Will Howells, a former tennis star from Notre Dame, seized his first Triple Crown at the APP Fort Lauderdale Open this past weekend. Pei Chuan Kao from Chinese Taipei, now among the top three international women in pickleball singles, made a bold statement by defeating the reigning champion Sofia Sewing. Catherine Parenteau took to social media to announce her split from longtime partner Anna Leigh Waters, just after the team took a tough finals loss in North Carolina. That means—at least until we hear from ALW herself—she’s a free agent in the women’s doubles market. Who could she team up with next?
