  • Highlights from yesterday's #CSO360 Americas Conference 📸 Alethea CEO Lisa Kaplan kicked off the conference with a keynote on how to mitigate physical security threats stemming from online risks like dis/misinformation. We're increasingly seeing that legacy corporate security systems don't cut it anymore, instead CSOs and security teams need solutions that provide true risk signals. This allows for more time getting in front of attacks, coordinating across the organization, and empowering teams to focus on what they do best: the human element of navigating response. Thank you Pulse Conferences for a great event, looking forward to next year! #corporatesecurity #securityleadership #riskmanagement #CSO360 #cso

Organizations today face an unprecedented level of online risk—threats to physical security, executive safety, brand reputation, and business continuity. • Alethea CEO Lisa Kaplan speaking at #MCSC25 on the dynamic information ecosystem and a new era of digital, cyber, and information security. Bottom line? Governments don't want to get involved in online risk, influence operations, or social media - so why force it? That's where we come into play. At Alethea, we help you take on the challenge of state actors hijacking your brand or direct targeting/harassment of your executives. We arm our clients with data that brings clarity, greater certainty, and a predictive value to strategic risk management decisions so you don't have to face these risks alone. #security #MCSC25 #influenceops #conferences #AI

🎙The final panels for #MCSC25 this afternoon hit key and topical themes of the dynamic and changing information ecosystem and how to approach regulation for cybersecurity.     The highlights from these panels were numerous, but some there were key things that resonated.   - AI is a tool that is double edged regarding cybersecurity. Maia Mazurkiewicz noted “AI is a tool that you can use for good, or you can use it for bad”. Lisa Kaplan highlighted that “if we use AI to shorten time from detection to response, you can win”.  - In the fast moving online information environment mis and disinformation has become widespread. Vilas Dhar identifies that “a fundamental challenge is we believe that misinformation or disinformation is the real challenge. We come up with structures to deal with this. But there is a more fundamental challenge – the use of independently verifiable information used for influencing individuals”.  - How regulation is decided and structured should be assessed. With greater insight in the regulation development process, more appropriate cybersecurity regulation can be created. Axel Deininger noted “sovereignty is not reflected in the right way in regulation, and is where we need more conversation between the private sector and the regulators”.  - Regulation needs to have a conceptual change so that it is more proactive and on the front foot. Jason R. hightlights that "regulation should try to be preventative” to have an impact on cybersecurity before crises emerge.     This afternoons' panels featured great conversations assessing the current state of cyberspace and how to regulation for greater security. How can companies and organizations keep their executives and leadership teams safe? What types of risk signals indicate a legitimate threat? Alethea and CEO Lisa Kaplan were featured in TAG Infosphere's Q1 Security Annual on how our Artemis platform leverages AI and human-powered analysis to detect and mitigate risks early, enabling organizations to safeguard leaders, assets, and reputations in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. A snippet from the interview below: TAG: How does Alethea’s Artemis platform address the growing risks of disinformation targeting C-suite executives and their organizations? ALETHEA: Our platform helps the C-suite assess and mitigate online risk, including threats to the physical security of the workforce and executives, brand and market reputation, business continuity and operations, and financial stability. Using our proprietary platform, we pull in a broad set of data sources and then answer five questions – what is the risk, who is behind it, how is it spreading, what level of risk is it, and what can you do about it? While not every risk requires a response, wasting time, resources, and C-Suite energy on low-level threats can seriously undermine an organization’s operational, security, and business goals. Artemis equips the C-suite with data that brings clarity, greater certainty, and predictive value to strategic risk management decisions to help organizations build a comprehensive picture of their threat environment. We’re not just here to tell you that you have a problem, we give you solutions, too.
