✨Introducing Team Heroes 4 Heroes led by Jordyn King, Corey Thompson & Grace Utho! ✨ Jordyn is a junior in the International Baccalaureate program at Paxon School for Advanced Studies. In her free time, she likes to go to the beach, travel and watch anime. Jordyn is involved in a variety of clubs including Hispanic Honor Society, a Golden Eagle Ambassador, Bio-medical Research Society, and Red Cross. Jordyn is competing to help those who are battling this horrible disease in hopes of finding a cure in the future. Corey Thompson is a junior in the International Baccalaureate program at Paxon School for Advanced Studies. He is a school ambassador, a player on the Paxon Tennis Team, and the President of the Bio-Medical Research Society. Corey is proudly competing in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student Visionaries campaign in honor of his late grandmother, who bravely battled blood cancer, and in support of children who continue to be affected by this devastating disease. Grace is a junior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Paxon School for Advanced Studies. Grace is a member of her school’s girls weightlifting team, as well as a member of the National Honors Society, National French Honors Society, and Golden Eagle Ambassadors. She is also the junior class publicist. ✨Introducing Team Paxon led by Ming Kohner & Caleesta Jones! ✨ Ming is a junior at Paxon School for Advanced Studies in the IB program. He is a seasonal lifeguard and social activist. He is raising money for research into leukemia in honor of his Aunt Lisa who passed away from Leukemia and his mom who’s currently battling it. Caleesta Jones is a student at the Paxon School for Advanced Studies. ✨Introducing Team Jackson Tigers led by Nathan Paul! ✨ Nathan is a senior at Andrew Jackson High School and is planning to major in IT next year. ✨Introducing Team Beachside led by Valeria Leonard, Gurnoor Wadhawan & Julia Rossatto! ✨ Valeria is a sophomore at Beachside High School. Valeria is a dancer and has been dancing for 12 years. She is passionate about leadership and has used this towards her goal to make a meaningful difference in society by participating in various clubs at school and events outside of school. Valeria is advocating for this cause in honor of her grandfather, who passed away from cancer in 2017, and for the chance to contribute in the fight to end cancer. Gurnoor is a sophomore at Beachside High School and serves as the president of the Kindness in a Diverse Society (KIDS) club, where she works to support underprivileged children in her community. She is also an active member of the medical club, HOSA where she nurtures her passion for the medical field. Gurnoor is particularly interested in learning about and advocating for awareness of emerging diseases. Her dedication to helping others drives her involvement in both community service and healthcare-related initiatives, such as this organization. Julia is a sophomore at Beachside High School. She is enrolled in the Veterinary Academy and interns at a Veterinary Clinic. Julia is part of many clubs at her school to help the underprivileged, striving to spread advocacy to make a meaningful difference in her community. ✨Introducing Team Creekside led by Shilpa Shiva, Amrita Ketireddy & Krisha Patel! ✨ Shilpa Shiva is a senior at Creekside High School. She serves as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Science National Honor Society, where she helps members discover STEM internships and volunteer opportunities to gain hands-on experience and explore potential career paths. Shilpa is competing in honor of her grandfather, who battled leukemia and passed away when she was very young. Through her efforts, she hopes to raise awareness and funds to support those affected by blood cancer. Amrita Ketireddy is a high school senior excited to be a part of this year’s Leukemia & Lymphoma Society campaign. Last year, she had the privilege of leading a fundraising team—a rewarding experience that helped her grow as a leader and team player. Her involvement in her high school FBLA chapter has also further shaped her passion for taking on initiatives that create a positive impact, and she is honored to continue contributing to such an important cause. Krisha Patel is a student at the Creekside High School. ✨Introducing Team Bolles led by Julia Kappaz, Charlotte Verlander & Ava Kappaz! ✨ Julia is a Junior at The Bolles School. Julia is the president of the Believe in Brynn club, member of the mock trial team, the tiger club, and the Ellie club. She is also on the Bolles lacrosse team. Julia is competing to help raise money and awareness for people and families who are impacted by blood cancer. Charlotte is a freshman at The Bolles School. She is an athlete that enjoys playing volleyball and lacrosse. Charlotte also attends FCA (Fellowship Christian Athletes) and is involved with Jax Young Life. Charlotte is competing in honor of her Uncle Jimmy who battled Leukemia twice and survived as well as her cousin Jonathan who passed away from Leukemia. Ava Kappaz is a student at the Bolles School. 🎉We are so very excited to announce our 2025 Jacksonville Light The Night Corporate Walk Chair, John Crawford with Paysafe 🎉 John joined Paysafe in September 2024 as Chief Financial Officer, based out of the company’s North American headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to joining Paysafe, Crawford spent nine years at FIS, last serving as Executive Vice President—Strategy, M&A and Venture Capital, where he led global corporate development, overseeing all of FIS’s acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures, and global venture investing. During his time at FIS, John also managed the investor relations function for five years and oversaw long-term financial planning. Prior to joining FIS, John held leadership roles across the U.S. and London in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns and in commercial finance at GE Capital. John holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and an MBA from UCLA.
