It has been an incredible year for the iBCI-CC (implantable Brain Computer Interface Collaborative Community). Briefly, the field of implantable brain-computer interfaces needed a dedicated collaborative community to unleash the potential for collective progress, knowledge sharing, and interdisciplinary collaboration to address challenges, drive innovation, and improve outcomes for individuals with neurological conditions.
As articulated in our 2025 Annual Report, since just March of last year, we have obtained FDA recognition, already gained over 380 members, and launched 40 critical projects, organized 1 annual meeting, and maintain 7 active workgroups.
