I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Certificate of Patient Experience Leadership from The Beryl Institute!

A love letter to the The Beryl Institute community. Three days with my tribe—reconnecting, learning, and leaving more grounded in purpose. As a council, board, and conference planning committee member, I’ve grown with this community—from a seed to a tree. Supported, stretched, and now rooted enough to give back. This year, that looked like welcoming first-time attendees, getting pulled onstage for a little magic during the keynote (still not sure how that happened), and sharing my perspective on #OrganizationCulture, #Leadership, and trust during the #PechaKucha. It was also a joy to see so many of my fellow planning committee members introducing, greeting, and hosting with such heart and intention throughout the week. You all made it feel like home. A warm kudos and thank you to Jason A. Wolf, Ph.D., CPXP, Stacy Palmer, CPXP, Natalie McKay, and the entire Beryl team for making this space possible—again and again. My big takeaway from the week: we’re in an era of #Trust. And as #PatientExperience and #Healthcare leaders, our role is to connect the dots—between people, purpose, and outcomes. Grateful to grow with this community. Inspired to keep shaping what’s next.

This week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the #ElevatePX2025 conference in Las Vegas. It was an amazing week filled with learning, networking, and meaningful conversations about improving the human experience. One of the most exciting moments of the week for me was achieving a professional goal of mine - presenting at a conference for the first time! In my role, I have the privilege of managing projects and programs that enhance experience, and I was proud to share Inova’s journey in diversifying our Patient and Family Advisory Councils alongside Matthew Masakayan, MHA, CPXP. I am grateful for the support of my colleagues and leaders at Inova Health and The Beryl Institute for making this opportunity possible. Thank you for your support and for inspiring us to pursue this important work!
