While the world was busy celebrating the fools on April 1, TBWA\Chiat\Day NY celebrated our founders who were anything but — the misfits, the rebels, the crazy ones, the pirates 🏴☠️ For our inaugural #NoFoolsDay, we honored the 1968 handshake deal between Jay Chiat and Guy Day which ultimately formed Chiat\Day. The handshake took place at a Dodgers baseball game, so we took the entire agency on the 4 train up to the Bronx to cheer on our local team — The New York Yankees. The day featured a coin flip tournament and an exclusive screening of the "Here’s to The Crazy Ones" documentary narrated by Lee Clow — highlighting the 50-year history of the agency.
