Founded in 1976, Stepping Stone is a non-profit alcohol and drug recovery agency that offers a variety of treatment and recovery programs incorporating evidence-based best practices. Announcing the Jonathon Kopf Memorial Scholarship Fund My brother, Jonathon, was one of the most intelligent, compassionate, and generous souls. He had a sharp wit, a deep love for animals, and a heart that never stopped giving. But like so many, he struggled with substance use disorder—a battle that ultimately took his life. In his honor, I am launching the Jonathon Kopf Memorial Scholarship to support LGBTQ+ individuals seeking recovery at Stepping Stone of San Diego. This fund will provide financial assistance to those who need it most, ensuring that no one is denied the chance to heal because of cost.
