HELP FIGHT THE FLU | National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) is on December 2-6 and is a good reminder that the flu can last through the winter months. There is still plenty of time to get a flu shot which is recommended for everyone aged six months and older and a high dose flu shot is recommended for everyone 65 and older. This Veterans Day we want to say thank you to everyone who has served.

If you see Troopers with beards this month there is a good reason. During November, your Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Deputy Fire Marshals, and Court Service Officers are taking part in No Shave November to help raise money for cancer research with the American Cancer Society of Alaska. Troopers and Officers will be allowed to grow facial hair to participate in the annual fundraiser and donate the money they would have spent on shaving towards cancer research and awareness.
