We’re proud to announce that we’ve received a generous grant from Variety - the Children's Charity! Thanks to this incredible support, we’ve invested in: 🔹 3 pediatric crash carts stocked with life-saving supplies 🔹 Updated resuscitation equipment 🔹 Handheld ultrasound devices for quick and accurate assessments This grant also includes funding for training and education, ensuring our team is fully equipped to provide exceptional care to pediatric patients. These new crash carts, customized with color-coded, size-appropriate tools, will be placed in the Emergency Department, Surgery Department, and inpatient unit to deliver fast, safe, and specialized care. “Over 1,000 pediatric patients visit our Emergency Department each year,” said Sara Gonnerman, VP of Patient Services. “These carts make care more organized and efficient. Thank you, Variety - the Children's Charity, for helping us elevate pediatric care in our communities!”

September is Healthcare Simulation Month, a time to highlight how healthcare simulation is transforming patient care for the better! At St. Anthony, our education team works with unit leaders and educators to boost safety, enhance skills, and ensure our healthcare professionals are prepared to deliver the highest quality care. Through hands-on, real-world practice, we're making healthcare safer, more effective, and more efficient for everyone in our community. From basic Stop the Bleed training of our youth to training on new equipment and neonatal resuscitation in our Emergency Department, simulation elevates our training methods at St. Anthony! Happy Sim Month!

Today, members of the Carroll Fire Department and St. Anthony staff united in a tribute, climbing the stairs of St. Anthony to honor the lives lost in the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 souls were taken that day, including the brave first responders who selflessly rushed into danger to save others. Their courage and sacrifice will forever be in our hearts. The St. Anthony administration team had the pleasure of meeting with members of Senator Grassley’s staff. During their visit, they discussed the vital role St. Anthony Regional Hospital plays in delivering quality maternal and pediatric care to our region. They also emphasized the significance of quality healthcare services in rural Iowa and the necessity of maintaining a strong healthcare workforce. St. Anthony extends its gratitude to the Grassley team for their visit and continued support!
