Downtown Grand Rapids was full of heart on Tuesday. 💚 Over 850 volunteers—Associates, community members, nonprofits, and vendors—came together for our biggest Helping Hands Day yet. We packed 15,000 meal boxes valued at $1.7 million for families facing disaster across the U.S.    Thank you, Convoy of Hope and every hand that gave time, resources, and love. Earlier this week, ice storms crippled 10 counties in Northern Michigan. My heart goes out to those affected in these communities we serve through our retail stores – and many of our own Associates who were impacted as well. SpartanNash answered the need for emergency assistance, providing two truckloads of food and water through our nonprofit partner, Convoy of Hope. For the second year in a row, SpartanNash is partnering with Home Repair Services and Trex Company to transform recycled plastic grocery bags into accessibility ramps for local veterans in need. This initiative not only helps reduce plastic waste but also makes a meaningful impact in the community, reinforcing our Core Behavior We Serve. 🙌 This year, we’re asking the community to help us select a local veteran in need from the Grand Rapids area.
