𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱—𝗠𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗗𝗮𝘆 #𝟮 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 Day 2 of #HM25 reaffirmed that the future of the industry is evolving towards fully interconnected manufacturing ecosystems, being led by #AI, #SoftwareDefinedAutomation, and #data-centric #MES platforms. 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹-𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗜 Siemens hosted their analyst-exclusive #IndustrialAI Executive Event, showcasing how their #IndustrialCopilots operate across the value chain, from design to operations and service, automating tasks across #CAM programming (#NX), control logic (#TIA), and P&ID creation (#COMOS). But what truly stood out was its industrial-grade #AgenticAI framework, built around its #IndustrialFoundationModel— a multi-modal AI model trained on domain-specific engineering datasets to “speaks the language of engineering”. 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗢𝗽𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 One of the most impressive live demonstrations came from Software Defined Automation, whose solutions apply #IndustrialDevOps principles—automated backups, AI-assisted code documentation, version control, centralized control from the cloud, and browser-based engineering—to #PLC-based control applications. #SDA showcased #IDEaaS (IDE-as-a-Service) by featuring an amazing live programmable #DigitalTwin of an igus Inc. robot. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 Critical Manufacturing made a strong case for why MES platforms must evolve beyond execution into intelligence, featuring a fully integrated MES solution for high-tech discrete industries, combining end-to-end material traceability, dynamic BOM handling, and a real-time digital twin of shop floor operations. Its partnerships with L&T Technology Services and RoviSys, among others, validate their ecosystem-driven strategy—an essential move in today’s modular, interconnected industry. MPDV Mikrolab GmbH’s Manufacturing Integration Platform exemplifies the new MES paradigm: platform thinking. 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗢𝗽𝘀—𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗜-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 The consensus at #HM25 was clear: you can't have effective AI without solid #data foundations. #IndustrialDataOps emerged as the critical foundation for #manufacturing intelligence. Cognite showcased its AI-driven Industrial #DataOps platform, Cognite Data Fusion. A highlight was the introduction of extensible #AIAgents through their Atlas AI workbench. HiveMQ showed how an #MQTT-based #UnifiedNamespace (#UNS) can power a reliable, scalable, and AI-ready data backbone for the industry. Litmus demonstrated its edge-to-cloud data integration capabilities with Microsoft, leveraging the strategic partnership with #Azure IoT that creates a unified data foundation from factory sensors up to the cloud. 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲-𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 Manufacturers are changing their approach to automation architecture through #SoftwareDefinedAutomation and #IndustrialDevOps. A notable player in the space, Software Defined Automation, showcased live sessions of Industrial #DevOps tools for automation engineers, such as IDE-as-a-Service (#IDEaaS). Siemens announced that, in partnership with AUDI AG, they're entering the era of #VirtualManufacturing with AI and #IT-defined automation at scale. In essence, Audi is piloting Siemens' approach to virtualize the shop floor by rolling out virtual PLCs (#vPLCs), #IndustrialAI, and #IndustrialEdge through #Xcelerator.
