🧬🧬🧬 Open Source is our DNA at FLECS 🧬🧬🧬 It therefore feels so natural and right to join Margo 🤝 I have been observing the development for over a year now and, to be honest, my assessment of Margo has so far been rather cautiously critical for these reasons: ❌ high barrier to entry (from $30,000 per year) ❌ Lack of transparency in some decisions in the open source project ❌ great danger of becoming another elephant graveyard in which the heavyweights of the industry only block each other What has changed and why do I think it is right to participate here? ✅ the barrier to entry has been lowered. There is now a free contributor tier ✅ we have been looking for a standard in this area for a long time. Now one is emerging and we want to be part of it to contribute our experience. ✅ compared to traditional standardisation committees, open source projects are not so easy to block. Collaboration is the key here. Therefore: Sorry Siemens 😅 But most importantly: I have recently been able to get to know people from the project who are passionate about this idea and who are pushing through even in the face of resistance from their own companies 💪 These are the moments when something new can emerge!
