With the weather heating up, you're likely to experience more frequent breakouts. Sweating more can cause clogged pores and bacteria build up which makes the perfect combo for summer acne. To combat this, we suggested blotting the skin with a towel or tissue. It's better to blot than to wipe because wiping can actually spread bacteria. Another option to consider is switching up your skin care. Look for products labeled "oil-free" or "won't clog pores" to give your skin breathability.

If you accidentally got sunburned on Memorial Day, here are some helpful tips to deal with the pain and heal your skin: - Stay hydrated. Keep drinking that water to replenish the skin. - Store your lotion in the fridge to add a cooling effect when moisturizing. - Opt for aloe vera. Aloe vera has healing properties that are essential for repairing damaged skin.

Warmer weather is a call for pretty pedicures but before you go, make sure not to shave for 24 hours before the appointment. Why? Shaving can cause tiny skin abrasions that leave the skin open to infections. We recommend picking a reputable spa and getting an early appointment to ensure cleanliness of products and services.

Hydrating inside only helps you hydrate on the outside! Combine your skin care routine with adequate hydration and watch your skin glow.

According to the CDC, skin cancer is the most common type of cancer and is often caused by prolonged exposure to the sun. This summer, consider protecting your skin and opt out of a deep tan.

Regularly checking your skin for abnormal moles, bumps, or spots can help catch melanoma early. It's always a good idea to check in with a dermatologist if you're unsure about any abnormal changes.

If your skin is only oily around your T-Zone (The zone around your eyebrows and nose) then you might have combination skin. Combination skin is both dry in some parts and oily in others.
