 📢 Event alert: openLCA Conference 2025, hosted by GreenDelta GmbH  📅 April 10-11, 2025  📍 ufaFabrik, Berlin, Germany Our #SiToLub partner GreenDelta GmbH is organizing the openLCA Conference 2025, a two-day scientific conference bringing together users of openLCA and life cycle assessment (LCA) experts for lectures and discussions on sustainability. The first edition last year was already a huge success being sold out. Hence, this year capacities are doubled and the venue change to the historic ufaFabrik Berlin to continue this path. Topics cover fields of from circular economy to use cases and social LCA. The open-source LCA software openLCA is developed by GreenDelta and will represent the heart of assessing the sustainability of SSbD lubricants within the SiToLub project. The conference is accompanied with training courses for openLCA. 📍 SITOLUB at UEIL (Union of the European Lubricants Industry) event Our partner for sustainability GreenDelta GmbH, represented by Dr. Jonas Hoffmann, participated at the UEIL event on the topic "Chemicals and Manufacturing in Europe". The session, hosted by MEP Massimiliano Salini, provided valuable insights for the lubricants industry, especially when it comes to the importance of lubricant's performance and how this can be used as a key sustainability measure. But further, re-refining of lubricants was highlighted as and EoL option to conserve resources and make Europe’s industry resilient. In SITOLUB, the tribological models will allow the prediction of the ⚡️ energy consumption during use by providing friction force values and expected durability of the materials by using wear data about the materials in contact with different fluids.
