🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 Last summer, Sherpa 6 was awarded a contract by Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center to develop and test a frequency diverse private 5G system alongside a non-traditional mmWave solution. This effort explores the feasibility of using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions to enhance situational awareness and communication capabilities for Warfighting functions. This project is an essential step forward in advancing tactical communication technologies for military operations. It includes multiple 5G radios, a meshed mmWave system, open standards infrastructure, and management through Sherpa 6’s Watchtower platform. We're also experimenting with cutting-edge antenna designs to support on-the-move operations. 💡 This testing is vital in evaluating how private 5G systems can improve battlefield communication, offering insights into network reliability, latency, bandwidth, and scalability under dynamic conditions. This data will help determine the system's readiness for full-scale deployment, potentially transforming how Warfighters connect and operate in complex environments.
