Volunteer Month Spotlight 🌱 Meet Josh, a volunteer on our VSC, who turns music into a bridge of connection! Through his class, Josh combines music and storytelling to create moments with members. With a setlist of songs, he inspires members to share their own stories, building a community filled with laughter. “Every time members share something, it makes me feel warm and lovely,” Josh says. Under his leadership, Selfhelp has greatly expanded home and community-based services throughout New York City and Long Island, and remained steadfast in our mission to serve as the last surviving relative for Holocaust survivors, all while growing our housing portfolio to 19 buildings.
