We drive brand growth though inclusivity, using responsible AI to measure everything a brand puts into the world.
About us
Launched in 2023 by ex-Google Executives Asha Shivaji and Jason R. Klein, the SeeMe Index brings objective measurement to brand inclusivity efforts by leveraging responsible AI. This addresses a crucial brand need to authentically reach and engage diverse groups. As a woman of color and a gay man, the two have drawn from their experiences at Google to provide a data-driven source of truth that empowers both brands and consumers to live inclusively. The SeeMe Index serves as a reliable, evidence-based benchmark that helps brands improve their external marketing efforts while enabling consumers to make informed purchasing decisions based on inclusivity. Inclusivity efforts are measured across three components (public advertisements, product lineup, and external commitments) and six identities (gender expression, age, skin tone, observed sexual orientation, body size, and visible disability). SeeMe Index is built for both brands and consumers. It celebrates brands that are succeeding at inclusivity and unveils areas for improvement. Brands that score above a certain threshold are awarded the SeeMe Index Inclusive Certification seal of approval. The seal provides unbiased insight into which brands are living up to inclusivity expectations — and serves as an indicator that allows customers to spend money with brands that reflect their own values.

Last week, Asha Shivaji and Jason R. Klein attended the Circana Growth Conference in Orlando! Circana has been a valued partner of SeeMe Index since day one, and together we've demonstrated—across years and industries—that more inclusive brands grow faster than their less inclusive competitors. At the conference, Asha and Jason had a front-row seat to Circana’s exciting innovation pipeline, including solutions like Liquid Mix, Unity+, and more. They also had the chance to reconnect with incredible partners like Misty Muscatel Davis, Larissa Jensen, Yeimy Garcia Smith, and Dave Slowik. Needless to say, they left inspired—and even more energized about what’s ahead for the SeeMe Index x Circana partnership!

What does certified inclusive mean? We analysed 100+ brands and only 15 brands scored 200+ points mkaing them Certitifed Inclusive. What does this mean? Brands in this segment are at the forefront of inclusivity. They excel across ads, product and purpose, demonstrating holistic inclusivity efforts. The points are awarded equally across ads, product and brand purpose in categories: Gender Expression, Age, Skin Tone, Sexual Oreintaoin, Body Size and Visible Disability. This means only brands with TRUE inclusion in their DNA and across their brand can be Certified Inclusive. 🏆 E.L.F. The SeeMe Index offers a 360° view of how brands show up in the world. Here's how: We measured 100+ brands for the SeeMe Inclusivity Index for Beauty across ads, product, website and brand purpose and six identity dimensions including gender expression, skin tone, age, body size, visible disability, and sexual orientation. This gave us each brand's unique Inclusivity Quotient (IQ) scores. We then mapped the IQ scores against sales data from our partner Circana to develop key insights into how truly inclusive brands perform commercially. The answer? Better! 💥

We loved sitting down with BeautyMatter for this piece highlighting the 2025 SeeMe Inclusivity Index for Beauty! Inclusion is ALIVE AND WELL in the beauty industry and we're here to celebrate it!
DEI isn’t dead—it’s thriving in beauty. While some industries are pulling back, beauty is pushing forward. Brands like E.L.F. BEAUTY, Dove, and Rare Beauty are proving that inclusivity isn't just good ethics—it’s smart business. Turns out, brands embracing real diversity across skin tone, age, gender, body size, and ability are growing 3x faster than the rest. The future is inclusive—and it's here to stay. Congratulations MAC Cosmetics for being a Certified Inclusive Brand for the 2nd year in a row! This is no easy feat with increased competition and evolving consumer expectations, but MAC's efforts continues to lead the way for inclusion in the beauty industry and beyond and we are thrilled to celebrate their work and this distinction! 💄 🙌
We’re thrilled to have been recognized as one of the top five among 15 “Certified Inclusive” brands by SeeMe Index for our ongoing commitment to DEI. A big thank-you to CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) and for inviting our very own Aïda Moudachirou-Rébois to join the Roundtable to discuss the SeeMe 2025 Inclusivity Index for Beauty! 🙏 This was an incredible opportunity to share our inherent values and reaffirm M·A·C’s longstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion through our creative, marketing, product development, artistry and so much more. ✨ Aïda joined a panel conversation about workplace culture and work/life balance while sharing professional advice.
