This month, as we celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth, the Science Center recognizes #STEM-sational individuals who’ve inspired us all to make an impact: ✨ Dr. Maryam Mirzakhani was an Iranian mathematician and professor at Stanford University. ➗ ✖️ She made groundbreaking contributions to the dynamics and geometry of Riemann surfaces and their moduli spaces and was one of the world’s leaders in hyperbolic geometry, topology and dynamics. 📐 In 2014, she became the first woman and first Iranian to win the Fields Medal, considered the highest honor in mathematics.
