We are excited to announce that Sacramento County Supervisor, Rosario Rodriguez (District 4), will be one of the distinguished speakers at our 53rd Annual Salud! Business Awards tomorrow! Supervisor Rosario Rodriguez has a remarkable background as a healthcare executive, entrepreneur, restaurant owner, community leader, City Councilwoman, and former Mayor. Her journey is grounded in the values of hard work, education, giving back, and treating others with respect. Elected to the Folsom City Council in 2020, she has also contributed to various boards, including the Folsom Chamber of Commerce and the Folsom Economic Development Corporation. Great video from our member, Dance On The Edge!
🎥 What happens when we look directly into the lens and deliver a message to an audience that needs to hear it? Eye contact isn't just a look -- it's a bridge, carrying our message straight to the hearts of those watching, making them feel seen, heard, and moved to action. That's the approach we took for this video featuring Dance On The Edge -- their founder came up to me and said, "We do a good job of promoting how fun our events are... but people need to know why dance is needed for those who are attending for much deeper reasons than just having something fun to do." This is the power of storytelling. 💡No one knows your struggles, unless you tell them. 💡No one can connect with the things YOU know are happening at your organization -- unless you show them. So let me tell you this: Dance on the Edge provides a safe space for survivors, marginalized communities, and those overcoming trauma to find confidence, connection, and joy through dance. For many, this is more than an event—it’s a place to rebuild, to belong, and to heal. Every step taken on their dance floors is a step toward strength, resilience, and community. Dance On The Edge brings dance out of the studio and into the heart of the city—free, open, and welcoming to all. I hope this not only implores you to think about YOUR OWN STORY and what you could be sharing, but also, since they were so vulnerable to share theirs, I hope you can donate at: https://lnkd.in/gaAr9Kaf #healingthroughmovement #danceontheedge #justdance #movementismedicine #dancetherapy #dancer #video #storytelling
