Our co-founder Sean Dadashi was recently interviewed by KQED about the role of AI in mental health. Here he shares his personal experience and vision for the future of emotional support.
"There were so many moments when I was spiraling at 10 p.m. on a Tuesday, and my therapy appointment wasn’t until Thursday." That's what I shared with Lesley McClurg for her recent KQED story on AI and mental health. That feeling — 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗽 — is exactly what inspired Rosebud. For many, that gap isn’t just a few days. It’s weeks, months, or even 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹. 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲. Not as a replacement for therapy—but as something that can meet us those many 𝘪𝘯-𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 moments that would otherwise be met with silence.
