On this day, Vietnam Veterans Day, we recognize and honor veterans who served in the military during the Vietnam War which ended 50 years ago. Vietnam veterans represented nearly 10% of their generation and fought under challenging conditions. Many returned home without a warm welcome, and althought it was years ago, we hope that today we can all come together in celebrating these men and women for their service and sacrifice. Representing the Robert Irvine Foundation, Robert Yarnall traveled to USAA headquarters in San Antonio for the first in-person Face the Fight coalition meeting. United in making a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans and their families, the focus of this event was sharing best practices on the use of evidence-informed suicide prevention strategies. We all share a deep commitment to enhancing the ways we can best support the military community and save lives by reducing veteran suicide. #FaceTheFight Face The Fight

Today on Medal of Honor Day we honor the heroism and sacrifice that Medal of Honor recipients have made for the United States of America. Our nation’s highest military award for valor, the Medal of Honor is awarded to individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Today and every day we are so grateful for those who risk their lives to protect the safety of our nation!

Robert Irvine connected with students at the Airmen Leadership School about his journey in the military over 30 years ago. "Students, our future leaders, come here to learn how to lead. Lifelong lessons of leadership and how to run your family at the same time." How inspiring to see the next generation of our military's leaders in the making. 🇺🇸

What if a military dining facility resembled the experience at our nation's top colleges? That's the question Robert Irvine is asking. The U.S. Army has brought in Chef Irvine to share ideas on how the branch should overhaul its dining programs and what it will take to do so. Chef Irvine has visions of more freedom in meal choice, menus modeled after food trucks, and healthier satisfying selections. Learn more about his ideas from Veteran News https://lnkd.in/eNhbTbaJ

The Invictus Games is such a special week that showcases the best of the human spirit. With the goal of inspiring recovery through sports - wounded and injured veterans from nations around the world come together to compete in a range of adaptive sports. Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 Robert Irvine Foundation's Ambassador Captain Luis Avila took our breath away racing down the slopes in Whistler on an adaptable sit-ski. After his run, he was asked how he felt and he replied, "freedom". Wife and caretaker Claudia Avila, also an RIF Ambassador, shares her experience, "We didn't come here for the medals - we came here to show the world the power of discipline and determination to achieve a goal and a dream. Luis showed through his performance that he does not allow his disabilities or severely wounded body define him."
