We traveled "Around the World with Appreciation" at this year's Volunteer Appreciation Event! We love having the opportunity to gather together and celebrate the countless ways our volunteers show up for families going through difficult times. We are so lucky to have such compassionate, talented volunteers as part of our team. Thank you to Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia for hosting this amazing event, and to our presenting sponsor, Jazz Pharmaceuticals .

There’s only one week left to apply for the Kim Hill Scholarship! This opportunity is open to high school seniors who have had childhood cancer. Lily, a 2024 scholarship recipient, is now thriving in college, studying to become a special education teacher. The scholarship gave her family peace of mind that college was within reach. "Applying for the scholarship is one step in the right direction when thinking about your future," says Lily. Find the application here: https://lnkd.in/eTxyKsPn

“Volunteering is fun and it’s a team effort. The staff offer great support and training! I enjoy providing any help I can to help these families and their children.” – Michael Leshner For the past two years, Michael has given his time and heart to RMHC Philly—as a friendly face in the kitchen, a reliable van driver, and a counselor at Ronald McDonald Camp. Thank you, Michael, for being part of our community and showing what it means to lead with care. If you are interested in volunteering, click here: https://lnkd.in/evX7XED6

“Ever since I started volunteering, I’m really grateful to have found a community like no other.” – Joanna Kim For the past year, Joanna has been a friendly face at the front desk of our Chestnut Street House, welcoming families with warmth and kindness. She first discovered RMHC Philly through a friend’s referral while attending school nearby, and we’re so grateful she did!
