#News – Today, Rice Biotech Launch Pad announced a peer-reviewed publication in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer demonstrating the safety and efficacy of interleukin-12-producting cytokine factories in preclinical models of multiple types of #cancer. The study demonstrates that an IL-12-producing cytokine factory near the tumor microenvironment induces the recruitment of Tpex cells, leading to a durable population of tumor-targeting T cells. This approach, combined with checkpoint inhibitors, effectively eliminates local and distal tumors in preclinical models of metastatic melanoma, colorectal, and pancreatic cancers, and will serve as the foundation for upcoming clinical trials and an emerging biotech launched out of RBL LLC.
