Partners from across Europe, along with online participants, participated in the two-day meeting to share updates, enhance collaboration, and focus on the essential next steps for the project’s pilot implementations. Last month, the Žilina Self-Governing Region organized a focus group consisting of members from the City of Zilina Council, representatives from the Office of the Chief Architect of the City, and officials from the Department of Environment. The aim was to gain insights into the challenges facing the urban environment in Žilina related to #climatechange. As part of the #retimeEU project, the Žilina Region is piloting initiatives at the CSS Straník facility. This socio-economic survey marks the project's first phase and will help shape future solutions for adapting buildings and urban environments to climate change and other extreme weather events.

The #retimeEU project is designing innovative adaptation solutions to enhance building resilience, deliver timely warnings, and lessen the impact of extreme weather events such as storms, flash floods, wildfires, and temperature extremes. A group of #retimeEU project partners met last week in Tartu, #Estonia, for a dedicated pilot site visit. Hosted by local partners from the Institute of Baltic Studies, the meeting explored Tartu’s innovative approaches to citizen engagement and #smartcity development.
