Inclusive Urban Resilience

About us

Natural and human-induced disasters are taking a high toll on urban environments. Rapid urbanisation, climate change, and the difficulties related to long-term city planning also increase the impact of these hazardous events. More and more often, populations face heat and cold wave risks, vulnerable individuals struggle to reach safe places during emergencies, and residents miss timely alerts about flash floods or wildfires. How can cities address these challenges and be more ready to react? RETIME aims to design, monitor, and manage adaptation strategies to create more resilient, informed, and prepared urban environments for everyone. Co-funded by the European Union, this project will introduce a data-driven tool to simulate current and future impacts and develop four adaptation solutions to improve urban resilience.
