MORE is a first-of-its-kind coalition of organizations with a shared vision of a restaurant industry that’s thriving, equitable, and enduring. There is enormous opportunity for change in the restaurant industry. We contribute $700B annually to the U.S. economy and employ 12 million people, making us the second largest private employing industry in the country. But razor thin margins pressure both operators and frontline workers. In fact, 85% of operators reported lower profitability year-over-year, and workers face insurmountable barriers to economic mobility: only four percent advance to corporate jobs and receive the accompanying wage and experience growth. MORE’s mission is to reduce silos, drive innovative solutions, and accelerate the collective impact of member organizations with a focus on advancing economic mobility and workplace protections. By providing resources, programming, partnerships and research, MORE fosters a dynamic community of changemakers. Together, we are MORE. What happens when women business leaders in the food & beverage industry get the resources they need? They hire. They scale. They innovate. They change the game. This is what Regarding Her is about: real business support, real impact, and real equity in action. Paul Feinstein’s latest feature spotlights how Mary Sue Milliken, Regarding Her Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board, and our 1,000+ members are reshaping the food & beverage industry—and how you can be part of it. A huge thank you to SAN PELLEGRINO and Fine Dining Lovers for being part of this movement. San Pellegrino truly has been an amazing partner in helping us champion women-led food businesses, and we’re so grateful for their support at Frieze, Smorgasburg, and beyond. Thank you Evan Kleiman and KCRW for promoting the work that Regarding Her Food and its members are doing to celebrate Women's History Month. "Regarding Her, the organization born out of the COVID pandemic to support women entrepreneurs in hospitality, is once again using March’s Women’s History Month to highlight the breadth and creativity of women in the industry. Regarding Her is a national organization, but here in Los Angeles, one throughline is to support those affected by the fires. Throughout the month, there are special menus, pop-ups and collaborations to attend and enjoy. The variety of events shows off how unique Los Angeles is in terms of breadth and type of talent. Some offerings span the entire month, others are single events. Here are a few of them."

This is a question we’ve heard so, so, so many times today. People from Los Angeles and far beyond have reached out, and we are incredibly touched by your kindness and generosity. To answer your call, we’re creating a fund to collect donations. 100% of the money raised will go directly to our Los Angeles members–women-owned small business owners of restaurants, bars, cafes, bakeries, pop-ups, food trucks, and more—as they work to rebuild and recover. We want you to know that all proceeds will be distributed transparently as grants, and we’ll share a detailed report so you can see exactly how your contributions are making a difference. The actions we’re able to take and the impact we can create will depend entirely on the total funds we raise. Thank you for being part of this effort to support these extraordinary women and their businesses. Your generosity means the world, and we are so grateful for you.❤️🩹 🍽️ Donate Now: https://lnkd.in/gbFZfpgr
