Excitement is mounting as we prepare to host the Grand Final of the first ever NHS Clinical AI and Quantum Hackathon series! This pioneering competition has captured the imagination of clinicians, coders, midwives, managers, and more—a diverse range of talented innovators across the healthcare spectrum. Hundreds have already showcased their ingenuity, leveraging AI and quantum computing to tackle some of the NHS's most pressing challenges. For the final, our Founder and Chief Product Officer Ilyas Khan, KSG will chair a distinguished panel of judges, bringing unparalleled experience across the NHS and the global technology sector. Meanwhile, an expert team of Quantinuum mentors will support up to 100 finalists on the day, helping them produce innovative ideas that have the potential to completely reshape public health delivery. A quantum-enabled NHS is a central Mission for the UK government and we hope this competition signals the dawn of a thrilling new era—one where creativity within the NHS can be a profound source of positive change. Thank you to Arun Nadarasa for driving this from its inception and to all who have joined us on this journey so far. Good luck to all the finalists. As members of the NHS family, you know the challenges first-hand, which is why you’re creating solutions that are truly fit for a modern NHS. See you all in London on May 1st! 🏥 Something historic is happening in the NHS. For the first time ever, a series of AI and quantum hackathons designed in the NHS, for the NHS — and now it all comes down to the Grand Final. On May 1st in London, frontline NHS staff will team up with developers, designers, and data scientists to pitch real, working solutions to some of the NHS’s biggest challenges. 💡 They've had support from world-class mentors, input from NHS leaders, and now they'll pitch to a panel of expert judges – competing for a £25,000 prize fund. This isn't just innovation. It’s proof that when the NHS leads, the future changes. 👏 Come and witness collaboration, creativity, and transformation – all from within the NHS. #NHSInnovation #AIinHealthcare #QuantumComputing #ClinicalHackathon #DigitalHealth #NHSLeads #HackathonFinal #FutureofHealthcare #HealthTech #NHSFuture Fari Ahmad, Selvaseelan Selvarajah, Haroon Saeed, Dustyn Saint, Clinical AI & Quantum Hackathon, John Oldham, Prof. Stella Vig, Arun Nadarasa, Emile Axelrad, Dave Triska, Minal Bakhai MBE, Stephen Kinnock, Yasmin Razak, Adrian Hayter, Erik Rignér, Henrik Westerlund

Exciting progress from our partnership with RIKEN, Japan’s top research institute and operator of the Fugaku supercomputer. A new paper in Physical Review Research marks the first big result from our quantum-HPC collaboration: researchers from RIKEN, Quantinuum, and Keio University showed how quantum information can be “scrambled” using a special quantum circuit. This insight could deepen our understanding of quantum chaos, thermalization—and even black holes.
