This pioneering competition has captured the imagination of clinicians, coders, midwives, managers, and more—a diverse range of talented innovators across the healthcare spectrum. Hundreds have already showcased their ingenuity, leveraging AI and quantum computing to tackle some of the NHS's most pressing challenges. For the final, our Founder and Chief Product Officer Ilyas Khan, KSG will chair a distinguished panel of judges, bringing unparalleled experience across the NHS and the global technology sector. Meanwhile, an expert team of Quantinuum mentors will support up to 100 finalists on the day, helping them produce innovative ideas that have the potential to completely reshape public health delivery. Exciting progress from our partnership with RIKEN, Japan’s top research institute and operator of the Fugaku supercomputer. A new paper in Physical Review Research marks the first big result from our quantum-HPC collaboration: researchers from RIKEN, Quantinuum, and Keio University showed how quantum information can be “scrambled” using a special quantum circuit. This insight could deepen our understanding of quantum chaos, thermalization—and even black holes.
