Wrapping up our #WomensHistoryMonth spotlight series is Karolina Kulesz PhD, one of our talented System Operators helping to ensure IonQ’s quantum computers are always ready for customer use. ✅ Karolina is part of a small but mighty team of seven operators led by Amy Smidutz. Together, they monitor, maintain, and optimize IonQ’s quantum processing units (QPUs), balancing daily remote operations with hands-on system upkeep. Whether it’s managing system reservations or extracting insights to improve future systems, Karolina’s work helps keep our quantum computers running smoothly and reliably. ✅ Before joining IonQ, Karolina spent 6+ years at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, where she explored the frontiers of experimental physics. From investigating the damage limits of superconducting magnet components at the Large Hadron Collider to her PhD research on the production and hyperpolarization of xenon radioisotopes and the investigation of the angular distribution of their gamma radiation, her work blended deep physics knowledge with practical engineering skills. ✅ Karolina was drawn to IonQ by our team’s precision in manipulating the positions of ions and dedication and support to make IonQ a great environment to grow and contribute. ✅ Fun fact: At one point, Karolina considered a career in medicine—but her love of math, physics, and tinkering ultimately pulled her back to science. Her path reflects a deep-rooted passion for problem-solving and collaboration. ✅ Karolina has been deeply inspired by several women in her life who have exemplified how to navigate a robust professional career and fulfilling personal life. Her mother pursued a PhD in Analytical Chemistry while battling cancer and taking care of her family. Her grandmother taught her the value of hard work and dedication. And her sister balanced an ambitious career and family responsibilities with grace. We’re honored to have Karolina on our team, helping push the boundaries of what’s possible in quantum computing. #QuantumComputing #WomenInSTEM #Physics

As part of our #WomensHistoryMonth series, we’re proud to highlight the women leaders helping shape the future of #quantum at IonQ. Meet Carleigh Weber (Lytle), who leads our Supply Chain Management team – ensuring we get the right part, to the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost. ✅ Carleigh’s team supports IonQ across the entire product lifecycle – from product design to post-delivery service – managing strategic sourcing, logistics, inventory, and planning along the way. ✅ Prior to joining IonQ in 2022, Carleigh built her career at Textron, where she rotated through leadership roles in the Supply Chain & Operations Leadership Development Program before moving into commercial and defense roles. She’s led teams across planning, operations, warehousing, compliance, production control, and strategic sourcing – giving her a unique perspective on how the different elements of supply chain and operations function across industries. ✅ What drew Carleigh to IonQ was the rare opportunity to apply her operational expertise to a company working at the forefront of technological innovation. While she wears a lot of hats, Carleigh finds it rewarding to apply her expertise to such cutting-edge field and work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry today.  ✅ Carleigh feels fortunate to have been surrounded by many people who have influenced her life and supported her personally and professionally. Her strong network of mentors, family, and friends are always there to give advice and encourage her to be the best version of herself. We’re grateful for everything Carleigh brings to IonQ – and for the leadership, creativity, and care she brings to every part of the supply chain. #WomenInTech #WomenInSTEM #QuantumComputing #SupplyChainLeadership

IonQ CEO and President Niccolo De Masi recently spoke at the Cantor Fitzgerald Global Technology Conference about the future of quantum computing and networking and why IonQ is poised to lead the quantum revolution. Niccolo addressed the technical advantages of IonQ’s trapped-ion systems, highlighted how we’re commercializing quantum across the public and private sector, and spoke about the company’s investment across the quantum ecosystem – from education and R&D to manufacturing and sales. IonQ’s vision? Quantum will solve the world’s most complex problems—ones that even all the GPUs in the world can’t handle. And because our systems are miniaturized and run at room temperature, they won’t just live in data centers; they’ll be in cockpits, drones, and cars. As part of our #WomensHistoryMonth series, we’re celebrating the outstanding contributions of women across IonQ. Meet Victoria Carey, PhD, Senior Engineer, Trap & Packaging, who plays a critical role in delivering the “heart” of our quantum computers – the ion traps. ✅Tori’s team oversees the ion traps from design to packaging and delivery, ensuring these essential components meet the highest standards for IonQ’s quantum systems. She specializes in device packaging, managing processes like die bonding, solder reflow, wirebonding, optical inspection and profilometry, and optical window placement. She also manages our cleanroom space at IonQ’s College Park facility. ✅Before joining IonQ, Tori was the Optical Integration Lead at Phase Sensitive Innovations, where she led a team responsible for fiber attachment of photodetectors, modulators, and PICs. Her work supported advanced photonic systems, including millimeter wave imagers and ultrawideband antenna arrays. She also contributed to R&D for high-frequency (>100GHz), high power (>20dBm) photodetectors, all while completing her PhD in Electromagnetics & Photonics.  ✅Tori joined IonQ because she was eager to apply her expertise to a new, cutting-edge field and contribute to the challenge of bridging state-of-the-art quantum technology with manufacturability. ✅Fun fact: Music brings Tori a joy unlike any other. She played several instruments growing up and learned invaluable lessons about perseverance and believing in herself through her school band experiences. Before becoming a quantum engineer, Tori played bass in a metal band and ran sound at a local dive bar in her hometown.    ✅A source of inspiration for Tori is her mother, who taught her to be strong and independent. Tori’s passion, technical expertise, and determination make her an invaluable part of our mission at IonQ. We’re lucky to have her on the team! #QuantumComputing #WomenInSTEM #IonQ
