Benchmarks: they’re not just for corporate meetings. Having a benchmark example of each type of content your team produces is just good business practice. Providing an example of a great piece of content—one that looks and sounds exactly like you want it to—is one of the most useful tools you can give your editors. It will demonstrate what approach to take, emphasize your organization’s tone, and align with your narrative to let your team know just what you’re looking for. #content #editing

Happy April Fools’ Day! No, we’re not going to prank you today (we’d NEVER do that!), but we will offer you some grammatical jokes to tickle your funny bone (or make you groan—does that count as a prank?). Q: What's the difference between a cat and a comma? A: One has claws at the end of the paws. The other is a pause at the end of a clause. Did you hear the one about the pregnant woman who went into labor and started shouting, “Couldn’t! Wouldn’t! Shouldn’t! Didn’t! Can’t!”? She was having contractions. Q: What word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it? A: Short. Is there a word that uses all the vowels, including Y? Unquestionably. And finally: Q: How do you comfort a grammar nerd? A: “There, their, they’re.” Got any more good ones? Let us know in the comments. #jokes #AprilFools

Privacy-conscious personalization requires a balanced approach. Be transparent about data collection and only use it with explicit consent. Create audience segments rather than individual profiles, offer clear opt-out options, and focus on behavior patterns rather than personal information. #content #FYP

One missing period takes these shirts from a good deal to the opposite of a bargain. And while this may seem like a trivial error, a missing comma cost one Maine dairy company $5 million. The moral of the story: pay attention to your punctuation. #proofreading #punctuation

Efficiency must be balanced with maintaining high standards. A strategic approach streamlines workflows without compromising quality. Standardized processes and templates (detailed style guides, editorial checklists, and predefined content workflows) help make this happen. Collaboration and clear communication also play a crucial role, and data-driven decision-making helps you refine processes while upholding quality. Happy Birthday Robert Frost! The only poet to receive four Pulitzers for poetry was born this day in 1874. His work frequently used settings from rural life in New England to examine social and political themes. Of his work, Frost wrote, “No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise for the writer, no surprise for the reader. For me the initial delight is in the surprise of remembering something I didn't know I knew...[Poetry] must be a revelation, or a series of revelations, for the poet as for the reader.” #poetry #language

Is a content operations strategy necessary? As brands scale their content marketing efforts, content operations strategies become essential. Having such a strategy: -Ensures consistency across channels by establishing standards for tone, style, and messaging. -Maximizes ROI on content investments by centralizing processes and using a content operations platform, allowing better allocation of resources. -Supports agile content creation by enabling faster turnarounds while still maintaining high standards. -Drives data-backed decisions by incorporating analytics into operations. -Facilitates collaboration and alignment: content operations act as the glue that holds everything together, ensuring effective communication and accountability across teams. #content #strategy
