Kicking off 2025 with impact! ✨ G4G’s first community-building event of the year was a powerhouse personal branding workshop featuring the incredible Ranukka Singham who’s helped over 50,000 professionals elevate their careers, and the effervescent Sue Lin Lim who shared impactful but realistic LinkedIn strategies to stay visible and relevant. A huge thank you to the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives and Millionaire Asia for making this possible, not just for our participants but also in supporting like-minded causes like Komuniti Tukang Jahit and PichaEats to empower women. 💪💙 A special shoutout to our Community Development team Ria Ridzuan Yasmin Mortaza and Dania Maisarah Helmi who planned and realised this event, and our core committee members who there to support Izzana Salleh Sarah Wong Cheska Tatiana Raja S. About us
The Girls 4 Girls (G4G) Malaysia Chapter began in 2019 and is headed by Izzana Salleh, one of the Harvard graduates and co-founder of G4G. To arm young women with the courage, visions, and skills needed to take on public leadership, G4G Malaysia has recruited multiple people and hosted several Circles to help young women redefine what it means to be an empowered Malaysian woman. We hope by bringing together insights from established leaders and a global network, we can mobilize a generation of mentors to grow the pipeline of women in public leadership.

𝟴 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, 𝗞𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗿 - What do you get when you put 50+ purposeful gals from Project Girls 4 Girls Malaysia in The Timber Space on a bright and cheery Sunday morning for four consecutive hours? 🤔 🎀 Yes. Correct. An explosive, energetic, exciting and eventful end-of-year in-person one-of-a-kind inaugural bespoked 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 & 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 extraordinaire!💥⚡️✨ 🎀 Specially curated by Project Girls 4 Girls Malaysia for its #mentors and #corecommittee members, it’s premised on three pillars: #inclusivementorship, #insights and #inspiration, and #impactfulnetwork. 🎀 These pillars form the cornerstone of Project Girls 4 Girls where “𝘈𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦, 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵.” 🎀 This morning I had the immense privilege of joining this group of special women in my capacity as a fellow mentor. It has been such a fulfilling and incredible personal journey since I signed up as a volunteer mentor for #Cohort9 early this year. So much have I learnt, and much more will I be learning from this amazing community - fellow mentors, #mentees, and the ever-dedicated core committee members. 🎀 A great shout out to Jeniffer Francis who took the mike with her personal heart-touching story on “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱.” For that, we thank you so much for your sharing.💗 Special thanks and gratitude to Project Girls 4 Girls co-founder, Izzana Salleh and her core committee members, Siew-Yong Bong, Sarah Wong, Fariza Alia, Ria Ridzuan, Dania Maisarah Helmi, Aufa Johan, and more, for making this specially-curated idea a resounding success!🩷 Here’s wishing all of us an even more #purposeful2025 as collectively we persevere in helping women develop the #courage, #vision and #skills to taken on #leadership!🚀 #womeninleadership #empowergirls #mentoring #reversementoring #G4G #G4GMalaysia #Girls4Girls

Do you know what it feels like to be accepted? To have found your village? To be surrounded by so much light and positivity that you can’t help but radiate it yourself? That’s exactly how I feel whenever I’m with Project Girls 4 Girls Malaysia It’s SO important to surround yourself with people who uplift you, who recognize your efforts and truly appreciate them. I first started with G4G since I wanted an identity, outside of my corporate job. As a newbie at the workplace, I want to channel my energy and passion into the community. These ladies all have their 9-to-5 jobs, yet they still take it upon themselves to contribute. They dedicate their 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. to brainstorming, meeting on Zoom, and ensuring that every initiative we take is executed in the best way possible. “Aufa, aren’t you tired?” Yes—without a doubt, of course I am. But this energy and happiness isn’t something I can get anywhere else. It’s priceless- therefore, worth my every effort❤️

🎉 Massive shoutout to the fantastic Project Girls 4 Girls Malaysia (G4G) Team and all the amazing mentors! 🙌 🙌🙌 What an unforgettable adventure we've had—not just for the mentees but for all of us! 😊 🌟 An inspiring 5 Saturdays it has been at the Women in Tech® Malaysia 𝐱 𝐆𝟒𝐆 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 with nearly 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧! 🩷from Japan, Philippines, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka We kicked off by sharing our stories, dreams, and hurdles. As we 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, we created a 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 to confront our fears. Many of us battled those nagging doubts—asking ourselves if we were "good enough," "smart enough," or "confident enough." But guess what? Through our heartfelt conversations, we unearthed an empowering truth: we are 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐘 more than enough, and within each of us lies everything we need to shine and thrive! 🌟 The love, learning, and genuine connection we've shared have been nothing short of inspiring! 💖 💖💖 As the weeks passed, something magical happened—𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝! 🌸 💮 🌺 Mentees embraced their strengths, while mentors were inspired by the resilience of those they guided. It was a 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦, illustrating that learning is a two-way street. For us mentors, this journey was about more than sharing advice; it was about paying it forward and evolving together with the incredible women we supported. And for the mentees, it was a powerful chance to step confidently into their potential and realize they are capable of leading! Looking back now, it’s clear that this is just the beginning. The lessons learned, the bonds forged, and the courage built 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝. To all the phenomenal women who joined us—𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮! Keep striving for greatness. 🩷 🩷🩷Let’s keep the energy alive and stay connected—there’s so much more we can 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫! 💕 And if anyone needs a little assistance or guidance from an HR perspective, or just wants to chat about their career path, don’t hesitate to message me. 𝐈'𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩! 😊✨😊 Hey Comrades, You’re all amazing! Our inaugural Brunch & Build Networking session, funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives was a intentionally curated brunch for over 50 incredible women leaders. It makes us incredibly happy, on behalf of the organising committee led by Ria Ridzuan that our women leaders saw value, found camaraderie and enjoyed the Sunday with us #womenempowerment #empoweringwomentolead #yournetworkisyournetworth
Seasoned Delivery Center/GBS Leader adept at steering HR, Finance, Commercial, Sales, Procurement, and IT functions. Proven track record in driving successful Transformations and optimizing Operational Efficiency
Today, I had the privilege of attending a global NGO - Girls for Girls (G4G) mentors' year-end gathering. A truly inspiring and uplifting experience. Having had the fortune/rezeki of exceptional mentors who profoundly shaped my career and life, I’ve always been deeply aware of the transformative power of mentorship. Stepping into the role of a mentor later in my career has been equally rewarding. While imparting knowledge and guidance, the experience of mentoring has taught me so much in return—broadening my perspectives and deepening my understanding of leadership, empathy, personal growth and most importantly, humility. In Project Girls 4 Girls Malaysia our usual Cohort sessions are focused on mentoring and empowering bright, promising mentees—a journey that has been deeply fulfilling. Today’s gathering however offered something truly special: the chance to connect with my fellow mentors face-to-face for the first time. What stood out to me was the camaraderie we shared. Beyond our shared mission of empowering young women, we discovered common values, aspirations, and even personal stories. It was incredible to meet such a thoughtful, supportive, and passionate group of individuals. I found confidantes and like-minded friends who share the same commitment to creating positive change. This gathering was a reminder that mentorship is a collective effort. Together, we’re not only helping to shape the female leaders of tomorrow but also fostering a powerful network of support and growth among ourselves. Here’s to more learning, collaboration, and impact—both for our mentees and for us as mentors. Thank you, G4G, for creating this meaningful opportunity. I’m excited for what lies ahead in the coming year!
