On April 20, 1950, PLASKOLITE was founded and established in Columbus, Ohio by Donald G. Dunn. Over the past 75 years, PLASKOLITE has seen many challenges, yet many more successes. This wouldn't have been possible without our employees, partnerships, and friendships made along the way, which is one of the many reasons why we are celebrating this milestone year-round. Throughout the summer, all of our locations will be celebrating with alumni reunions, cookouts, and parties to commemorate our 75th, and we can't wait to celebrate and reward not only our current employees, but our friends, for their dedication of making PLASKOLITE the company it is today. In honor of the 2025 IAPD West Coast Charitable Golf Tournament held in Temecula, CA this week on Thursday, April 10, PLASKOLITE founder Donald G. Dunn also enjoyed a round of golf at "The Golf Club." He named himself an average player, learning the game with his dad and uncle during the depression, and also learning about good caddying that reflected and influenced his world view. Dunn believed golf can be a metaphor of life - "there are peaks and valleys of fortune and one must make the best of situations that are, either directly or indirectly, the player's own fault."
