San Antonio is going to be a very exciting place this weekend—you know what we mean! The highly anticipated 2025 Men’s Collegiate Spring Hoops Showdown is rolling into town. It's not just any basketball bash—it's historic! This year’s single-elimination Dance has been tearing up the court since March 18 in Dayton, OH, with all four No. 1 seeds bulldozing their way to the last weekend for the first time since 2008. You read that right—this has only happened once before! The action takes place at the Alamodome on Saturday, April 5 (semifinals) and Monday, April 7 (ultimate TBD vs. TBD). Who’s going to take it all? We don’t know. We can’t predict who will emerge victorious. We’re security experts—we can help you with crime risk scores in San Antonio, thanks to the Pinkerton Crime Index. Knowledge is power, folks. When you know your risk score, you make informed decisions, like where to stay and how to get to the stadium for the festivities. Know your risk. Be safe. Have fun, and we hope your team wins!

In October 1928, the newly opened and enormously profitable Ohio Theatre, Mansfield, OH, was burglarized and their Diebold office safe removed from the premises. This was not the first time thieves resorted to stealing safes rather than opening them on the premises to steal the contents. Diebold technology made safes and vaults nearly impenetrable and uncrackable, so would-be thieves thought the best way to procure the safe’s contents of “approximately” $2,956.00 would be to simply steal the safe—the 450 lb, battleship gray safe with a 1” thick, pressure lever, 3 tumbler bank combination lock constructed of alternate layers of explosive proof, open heath steel plates, and five-ply drill-proof chrome steel plate door. This was no mere crime of convenience. The burglary took place on a Sunday when the theater was closed. While the safe itself was a rather compact 17 7/8” x 15” x 14”, it would have taken more than one person to move the heavy safe, even with a heavy-duty rolling dolly or cart. By 1928, Diebold and Pinkerton had been working together for nearly 70 years, protecting banks and financial institutions, hotels, manufacturers, retailers, and other organizations. So naturally, the Ohio Theater and Diebold contacted Pinkerton to solve the crime and recover the safe and its contents. The Norwich Union Indemnity Co. of New York offered $250.00 for the recovery of the safe and its contents, $100.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves, and $25.00 for the recovery of the safe itself. As of May 1929, the reward money had not been collected. So, what happened next? We don’t know. Completed case files often were transferred to clients—who presumably locked them away in their safes. Why don’t you tell us what you think happened in the comments below. #Pinkerton175 #SecuritasTechnology #WeNeverSleep

Spotting a supply chain issue is just the beginning. The critical turning point is determining whether it's a symptom of a deeper problem that could lead to substantial financial losses. Consider the difference: a minor discrepancy in a bulk order of low-cost items may not raise alarms, but missing high-value assets? That's a red flag demanding immediate action. Minor discrepancies are often resolved through a detailed internal examination of ordering and fulfillment record. But what if the numbers still don't add up? A more in-depth investigation is merited. If you need us, we’re here to help. Pinkerton Investigations → https://pnk.tn/4vc #Investigations #SupplyChain #SupplyChainSecurity
