It was a honor to join the legendary David Rubenstein, Harriet Miers, and Tye Darland at the Legal Services Corporation's Access to Justice Forum yesterday discussing the positive economic and business impacts of legal aid. Firms that use Paladin tell us that in additional to community impact, #probono has strong business ROI, including boosting professional development, business development, recruitment, retention, ESG impact, compliance, and more, which is why it's especially powerful!

Thank you to Law360 and Matt Perez for covering Paladin and the work we're doing to close the #justicegap. Pro bono is such a critical part of the legal landscape, and as I mentioned to Matt about the current environment, "at the end of the day, pro bono is a bipartisan issue. People from all backgrounds need free legal help, and that’s exactly our mission. So to the extent that our tech can facilitate more pro bono connections and empower pro bono leaders, that is where we’re focused. It's continuing the day-to-day... and serving as many pro bono clients as we can.” https://lnkd.in/gjHJGWvz

  • Thank you to Seyfarth Shaw LLP and Stephen Poor for hosting our Co-Founder and CEO, Kristen Sonday, on this week's episode of Pioneers and Pathfinders! They discuss how Paladin is creating a blueprint for justice technology, Kristen's journey into access to justice work, the mission of LongJump, and the key lessons she has learned from her entrepreneurial journey. • Today, we are thrilled to share the launch of our new pro bono Insights platform! Paladin Insights empowers pro bono teams with the high-level metrics they need to respond efficiently to annual surveys, RFPs, and legal services provider audits. It also enables users to drill down into timekeeper and matter-specific details to assist with staffing, mitigate deadline risks, and view data related to professional development-related opportunities. The new platform builds on Paladin’s acquisition of Pro Bono Manager at the end of 2023, merging Pro Bono Manager’s granular data capabilities with Paladin’s intuitive interface and state-of-the-art data modeling to deliver next-generation technology for law firms. Thanks to Robert Ambrogi for the great article:

Justice never sleeps. One of my absolute favorite things about Paladin is that attorneys can find and signup for #probono through the platform at literally any time. This holiday weekend alone, lawyers were signing up across the country at all hours to assist with asylum casework, mentor migrant women, pursue a Seventh Circuit project, help a daughter with her mother's estate, review a veteran's discharge file for an upgrade, help domestic violence survivors, expunge criminal records, and more. We keep going.

⚖️ Exciting News! ⚖️ We’re thrilled to announce the relaunch of the Mass Pro Bono website! After months of hard work and dedication, the Websites Project team at Massachusetts Law Reform Institute has revamped the site to make it a user-friendly and visually engaging space to connect lawyers, advocates, and law students with pro bono opportunities at legal aid programs throughout Massachusetts. Here’s what you can expect from the updated site: ✨✴️ An accessible layout and seamless navigation for all users, 🧭🔍A searchable database with over 60 varied volunteer opportunities, and  📋🗓️ An events calendar and embedded LinkedIn posts to keep you informed and inspired to volunteer! In addition to having a wide range of issue areas to explore, such as immigration, housing, and education, the Mass Pro Bono guide has many short term opportunities available, allowing volunteers to make a difference in just a few hours. To power the new opportunity guide, Mass Pro Bono worked with Paladin -- a platform for connecting the pro bono community and empowering legal teams to do more pro bono, more efficiently. Mass Pro Bono also worked with web designer Bonnie Katz to develop the new site. Thanks to the Paladin team and Bonnie Katz for contributing to our mission to make pro bono opportunities more accessible and visible in Massachusetts! We’re excited for you to check it out! • Don't miss this fantastic interview with Ben Weinberg about Dentons #probono program, highlighting the 'importance of partnerships between firms, nonprofits and even clients to tackle systemic challenges like racial injustice.' Ben is a visionary not only because he creates unique programs that tackle justice issues at scale, but also because he inspires his firm and others to think outside the box. He helped co-develop Paladin into what it is today, and knows how important to meet volunteers where they're at. He explains,"So, now, we [tell lawyers], "If you have something very particular you want to work on, give me a call or send me an email, but you first go look on Paladin and see what's available." You can filter by what you're interested in doing, the community you want to serve, your skills — and you can find things." Read more to learn about Dentons's important work:
