Emerging Technologies
PACCAR is heavily invested in multiple alternative powertrain technologies such as battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell technology while maintaining a commitment to leading with the world's cleanest engine technology for our MX-11 and MX-13 internal combustion engines. Alternative fuels are a big part of near-zero emissions. The DAF XF technology truck was honored as Innovation Truck of the Year in 2022 for their near-zero emissions hydrogen internal combustion technology.
Safety
PACCAR is committed to developing autonomous driving capabilities with our partners. PACCAR has a partnership with Aurora, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology followed by a partnership with FedEx and Aurora on an autonomous technology pilot project. PACCAR is also heavily involved in developing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that increase driver and road safety.
