About us
Platform 1440, more affectionately p1440, was co-founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings in 2018 to strengthen opportunities in the sport of beach volleyball. There are 1440 minutes in a day. We are rooted in the concept that we make the most of every minute. In 2023, p1440 Foundation, Inc. was created to focus on those roots, to inspire those impacted by beach volleyball to live life to its fullest and to provide our communities with opportunities for personal development and growth.

🚨 High School Education is Changing – And NIL is Now in the Mix 🚨 The landscape of high school education is evolving faster than ever. Traditional models are being redefined, and with the rise of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, student-athletes now face a brand-new reality—one where their education, athletic development, and financial future are deeply intertwined. 📊 Did you know? High school athletes in more than 30 states can now profit from NIL deals. The NIL market is expected to surpass $1 billion in 2025. The average annual NIL earnings for a high school athlete is between $2,000-$10,000, with top earners making six figures. But here’s the catch—most traditional schools are not equipped to support students in navigating this space while maintaining academic excellence. That’s where ICL Academy steps in. At ICL Academy, we are redefining what it means to be a student-athlete. We provide: ✅ A world-class education tailored to students pursuing passions in sports, the arts, and beyond. ✅ Flexible, customized learning schedules so students can train, compete, and grow their personal brands. ✅ Expert mentorship & NIL guidance from ICL partners who are industry leaders who will help students prepare for success—both on and off the field. ✅ Unparalleled college placement results: 99% matriculation rate ✅ Emphasis on public speaking and developing an attractive yet appropriate social media profile when applicable. The future of education is here. Whether your child is pursuing tennis, golf, skiing, figure skating, music, volleyball, basketball, or any passion, ICL Academy provides the ultimate competitive edge in academics, athletics, and life. We are fortunate to work with partners such as Arizona Athletic Grounds, American Junior Golf Association, UTR Sports, p1440 Foundation and so many others who embrace the new era of high school education. Let’s prepare the next generation for success. #ICLAcademy #NIL #EducationRevolution #StudentAthletes #FutureOfLearning #PassionBasedEducation

🥇 🥇 🥇 The relationship between athletics and leadership is undeniable - from Olympians to my 86-year old athletic, cyclist mother. #IWD with 3x Gold/1x Bronze legendary Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings was one we will long remember, as will 50 middle and high school volleyball players in our glass enclosed subterranean Court! 🏐 💫 And hear this...girls volleyball is the # 1 high school team sport! Her mantra of "faith, family, and sports" resonates with us, much like the goddess Nike engraved on her medals symbolizing forward motion. The way you show up every day, to pursue excellence even when it's hard is what makes gold medals possible and allows for greatness - on many levels. Our Grace Farms world-class team shows up every day to go well beyond what seems possible with our values of grace, peace and excellence. Women's Sports Foundation Danette Leighton noted on our follow-up panel that 94% of C-suite executives played sports. Most of us did play high school and college sports (music is another common denominator). ✨ We hosted powerhouse women and allies who are leading the way—representatives from NBC Sports, NBC Sports Engine, the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA) and ESPN. Every time a woman excels in athletics, the ceiling of expectation rises for all who follow—though we might ask ourselves, why was that ceiling lower in the first place? Why did we even need Title IX and how dependent are we still? My mom at 86 is indeed an athlete, a dedicated cyclist still riding 25 miles at a clip; however, could only be a cheerleader and not a baseball player when in high school. One generation later, I was a multi-sport athlete - basketball, track, swimming and diving. And now, half of the Olympian athletes in Paris were women, yet the equity work continues! The "power of she" in sports extends far beyond podiums and record books. It lies in the transformation of possibilities. Karen Kariuki, our all-star MD of Strategic Initiatives, made this happen as well as my fav new sweatshirt! Side by side with wellness expert, lawyer and our Chief of Staff Emma Gallo and our athletic C-team > Chelsea Thatcher Elizabeth Rapuano Cherie Sweeney Meghan Davis Hely Walsh and our cyclist CFO A.J. Conley Kerri's p1440 Foundation is educating the next generation and making the most of the 1440 minutes we have in one day 💫 Bill Sanders Amy Brooks (NBA) Jasmine Robinson, panelist, Monarch Thank you Will McIntosh NBC Sports Engine/Next and Peter Hunsinger sponsors!
