New systems don’t work if the field rejects them. In this episode of The ConTech Crew, hosts Jeff Sample and Nathan C. Wood talk with Trevor Baggett from Spring Valley Construction Company about the real challenge of rolling out new processes in construction: getting the field to actually use them. Top down decisions fail when they ignore the people doing the work. That’s why real adoption happens when the field has a seat at the table. When companies bring field teams into decision making early, they don’t just get smoother rollouts-they get better ideas. Because the best insights don’t always come from the boardroom. If a new system isn’t making jobs easier, it’s just another headache. The key? Building solutions with the people who will use them not just for them. The best way to get buy-in? Let the field challenge ideas before they become problems. The earlier they’re involved, the better the outcome. 🎧 Listen to the full episode https://lnkd.in/gYii59gJ #ConstructionTech #Teamwork #ChangeManagement #FieldFirst #InnovationInConstruction

Your photos and videos bring our #culture to life in the most authentic way, and we’re so grateful for your talent and perspective. We’re thrilled that your experience with Outbuild gave you a new view of what corporate culture can be — one where connection, creativity, and fun are just as important as strategy. Everything I thought I knew about corporate culture was wrong. Last week, I had the pleasure of documenting a corporate offsite retreat hosted by ONDA Playa Grande for Outbuild, a construction scheduling and planning software company. 48 employees. 3 days of connection, catamaran cruises, and beach cleanups. And not a single boring “team-building” icebreaker in sight. Corporate chaos took the back seat while culture drove the bottom line home: the best investment you can make is in your people. I won’t lie — I went into this project expecting to be surrounded by suits and stiff small talk. I assumed I’d be the odd one out — a free-spirited creative dropped into a sea of structure and KPIs. How naive I was. What I know now is this: 1. Culture trumps strategy. You can chase a number your whole career, hit it, and still feel empty. Strategy builds goals. Culture builds spirit — and it’s the people behind the spreadsheets that carry the vision further than any bottom line. 2. You’re never too “successful” to let loose. Capitalism has us on a hamster wheel of “rise and grind.” But the magic happens when people are given space to breathe. To bond. To play. When you give adults permission to have fun, you get teams that perform better — and actually like each other. 3. Creativity belongs everywhere. Even in industries that aren’t traditionally “creative,” space for creative freedom is essential. I was trusted to tell their story — no micromanaging, no corporate red tape. Just trust. And that trust led to some of the most authentic content I’ve ever created. Turns out, creative magic thrives when you let go of control and lean into collaboration. This experience flipped my perspective — and reminded me that not all corporate environments are cut from the same cloth. When leadership prioritizes people, and creativity is given a seat at the table, the result is more than a successful offsite. It’s a movement worth documenting.

  • “This is what scheduling dreams are made of…” When a Senior Project Manager at Warfel Construction Company says that about your scheduling software, you know you're doing something right. 💥 Another example of happy customers? Before Outbuild, ANDRES Construction Services didn’t have a tool that could automatically say: ❗ “You're behind—here’s what’s at risk.” 💡 “You're ahead—here’s what you can start early.” That kind of #visibility? It’s not just convenient—it saves real dollars. 💸 And that’s two testimonial examples. Want to hear more? 👇 🎥 Check out this quick video and see why teams are loving Outbuild!

  • Today we teamed up with Clean Wave for a beach cleanup and spent the morning removing plastic and waste from the coastline in Costa Rica. Not only did we help protect marine life, but we also got to enjoy and give back to one of the world’s most beautiful places. ✨ Costa Rica is known for leading the way in #sustainability, and it felt great to play a small part in supporting that mission! 🌱 Huge thanks to Clean Wave for the important work they do and for letting us be part of it! 💚 #PuraVida #OutbuildGivesBack #CleanWave

What a journey through the beautiful nature of Costa Rica! Yesterday we walked through a lush forest before crossing a hanging bridge that led us to a beautiful waterfall! ✨ After soaking in the views, we crossed another hanging bridge to see the hot springs!
