Cold calling doesn't work for you because you suck at it. It's okay. Most reps do. They get shut down in the first 60 seconds, then complain that "cold calling doesn't work." Here's how to build a ton of pipeline in 2025 through the phones: 👇 Don't sell your solution—sell yourself STOP talking about your solution. The prospect doesn't give a sh*t. When cold calling, you have one job: ⛔️ Not to sell the meeting ⛔️ Not to sell your solution ✅ Sell yourself through credibility In sales, skepticism is our #1 objection. It's the biggest hurdle we have to overcome on a cold call. The #1 way to reduce skepticism is by showing the prospect that you speak with their peers. Show them that a conversation with you won't be a complete waste of time. Make them feel it would be irresponsible not to hear you out. ⛔️ Bad way to open: "I'm calling you because we sell a contact center solution to a lot of other companies like A, B, and C. I wanted to see if it makes sense to talk about how we might be able to help you..." CLICK. That intro does NOTHING to show the prospect that you know their world. Or that you understand their problems. You don't even get a chance to sell a meeting with an intro like that. ✅ Here's a much better way to open: "I'm calling because I recently made a purchase on the site and a survey popped up. In our experience with companies like Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's—only about 10% of customers actually fill out those surveys. They want to reduce cost to serve and inbound call volume, but those surveys don't give them the entire story behind the problems customers aren't able to solve themselves. How does this compare to your focuses at ABC COMPANY?" This intro builds massive credibility because it so specifically articulates the prospect's status quo. That builds credibility. That earns you time. ~~~ Make this shift in your cold call approach and you'll see a massive spike in conversion rates.

Helping sales teams drive more live conversations while enabling SDR managers with real-time tools for objections, call timing, and coaching feedback.

I want to give a huge shout out to my SDR team at Orum 🥇 for overdelivering on our number for the quarter! 🎊 What made this quarter successful? - Everyone shared their secret sauce and talks track to help everyone win. We had film reviews and weekly objection perfection sessions on the sales floor. - SDRs and AEs really locked in on account mapping and worked strategically together to have a targeted and personal approach. - Sales & marketing worked hand in hand and we were able to generate quality meetings from their campaigns. - The team spent more time on the sales floor with scheduled call blitzes where we all cheered each other on when someone booked a demo and spotlighted calls to learn. This quarter we onboarded 3 new hires and they hit the ground running and contributed to the team very early. I am so proud of this team and how hard they worked but also how well they all collaborated together. Brayton Riley, Sean Butler, Jacob Pousson, Katherine Tennyson, Kolbie Knorr, and Riley B..

  • Wake up, y'all! New Bold Calling just dropped! 🎙️ The SDR role is often viewed as a foot in the door. A stepping stone to the next role. 🪜 But regardless of how successful you are, you can't reach the next level without some help and some advice. Our own Kevin T Nguyen 🥇 & Brayton Riley started as SDRs here at Orum before taking on leadership roles. They learned how to grow as individuals and how to help others do the same. They shared their journeys, as well as their advice, and the latest episode of the Bold Calling podcast. 🎧 Listen: https://lnkd.in/gTVJ8dH2 📺 Watch: https://lnkd.in/gUV-j9Vi

How polished is too polished? According to Ting Ting Luo, the era of airbrushed, millennial-pink content is fading fast. In its place: something rougher, realer—and a lot more human. In our latest episode of Content Amplified, Ting Ting Luo, Head of Marketing at Orum 🥇, breaks down what she calls the “B2C-ing of B2B content.” Here’s the idea: B2B buyers don’t stop being people just because they’re at work. And the content they respond to in their personal lives—quick takes, authentic voices, short-form video—is reshaping their expectations at work, too. A few takeaways from the conversation: • Thought leadership isn’t optional. People trust people more than brands, especially in fast-moving spaces like sales tech. • Lower production quality can be a strength. It signals authenticity—and that’s what people crave. • Encouraging internal voices requires trust. Employees need to know the brand’s values, but they also need space to speak from their own experience. The line that stuck: “Authenticity isn’t control.” That mindset shift is what makes a modern brand relatable—and memorable. Catch the full episode for more on building content that resonates in a B2C-shaped world.

  • ⌛ The average cold call that results in a booked meeting is 6 minutes long. ⏳ The average cold call that doesn’t? Just 52 seconds. What’s the difference? 👂 Not your opener. 📜 Not your script. 🧠 Not how well you memorized objection rebuttals. 👉 It’s active listening. Yes, you heard that right — the same skill you need in relationships, ordering at Starbucks, and surviving toddler negotiations. If your rep talks for 6 minutes straight, that’s a podcast. 🎤 If your prospect talks for 6 minutes while your rep asks the right questions and listens? That’s a meeting booked. Reps who lean into the convo, handle objections with empathy, and stop pitching like a robot… win more. Here’s what you can do: ✅ Ask open-ended questions ✅ Let silence work for you ✅ Actually hear what the prospect is saying ✅ Handle objections like a human, not a help desk More conversations → More meetings → More revenue. It’s not magic. It’s mastering the moment. Full breakdown in the comments

  • 🚨 207% PIPELINE GROWTH WITH A STATIC HEADCOUNT. 🚨 Every sales leader wants more pipeline. Adding headcount isn't always an available luxury. Picking up the phone is a start. Doing it while partnering with a strategic AI live conversation platform? That's the full cycle solution. Here are some stats from IntelAgree team since using Orum: 👉 IntelAgree increased pipeline by 207%. 👉 Meetings booked up 83%. 👉 Sales Accepted Leads up 112%. It's not just about more conversations. It's about BETTER conversations. All with the same small team of SDRs. The only change? Giving them an AI-powered platform built for live conversations. 📞 More conversations → more meetings 📈 More meetings → more revenue opportunities 💥 And no new headcount “In today’s B2B landscape, where every quarter counts, gains like this are a secret weapon,” said Brett Ghione, IntelAgree’s Sales Development Director. If you’re trying to grow pipeline without ballooning your team… You don’t need more reps. You need a better system. Let’s talk: orum.com #SalesLeadership #RevenueGrowth #SalesDevelopment #AIinSales #B2BSaaS #PipelineGeneration #SDRManagers

  • The average cold call lasts less than one minute, yet it still features more than one objection per call. That means you need to be prepared to overcome them. Thousands of reps have used our Objection Handling YouTube playlist to improve their phone skills. If you haven't checked it, the link is in the comments. Shout-out to our old friend Skye Grace🌊 for this incredible example.

  • At Orum, we’ve built native integrations with the biggest CRMs in the game. But we also know revenue teams rely on a wide mix of tools—including custom CRMs and homegrown systems. That’s why we just shipped Webhooks — one of our most requested developer features, built to connect Orum to any system in real-time. Now, whenever a rep logs a call disposition, Orum instantly pushes that event (plus all the relevant metadata) to your chosen endpoint. Feed your analytics, sync to your CRM, and trigger workflows. You name it. Want the details? 👉 Link in the comments.
