About us
DarkOwl is a Denver-based company that empowers organizations to continually improve their cybersecurity defenses using darknet intelligence. The DarkOwl Vision platform provides access to the world’s largest index of DARKINT™ (darknet, deep web and high-risk surface web) content, along with the tools and services to efficiently find leaked or otherwise compromised sensitive data. Unlike conventional offerings which rely heavily on manpower to comb the darknet, DarkOwl Vision automatically, anonymously and continuously collects, indexes and ranks actionable darknet data. The DarkOwl Vision engine scrapes more relevant dark net data in one hour than an intelligence analyst can discover in one day. By shortening the timeframe to detection of compromised data on the dark net, organizations can swiftly detect security gaps and mitigate damage prior to misuse of their data.

DarkOwl reposted this
Spent an energizing two days recently with the exceptional team at DarkOwl, where I'm honored to serve on the Board of Directors. A highlight was representing DarkOwl by delivering a speech on "Democracy's Digital Crossroads" to the Mountain West Cyber Fraud Task Force in Denver. Drawing from my experience in the intelligence community, I shared insights on the three critical battlefronts where two competing visions for our digital future are in opposition: digital democracy and digital authoritarianism. 1. The Threat Landscape: Today's threat landscape bears little resemblance to just a few years ago. From sophisticated AI-generated phishing to supply chain attacks like SolarWinds, we face challenges that demand new approaches and partnerships. 2. The AI and Tech Race: The competition for AI dominance isn't just about technology—it's about whether these powerful tools will enhance human liberty or restrict it. The most effective approach combines human expertise with technological advantage. 3. The Trust Challenge: In an era of deepfakes and synthetic media, maintaining trust in digital systems is essential for preserving our democratic values and institutions. The MWCFTF's work investigating cybercrime across the Mountain West exemplifies the cross-sector collaboration needed to secure our digital future. I'm grateful for the opportunity to engage with these guardians at the digital crossroads, who are working hard to secure our digital future. As always, I’m proud of the team at DarkOwl for delivering the dark web intelligence tools needed to protect our networks, businesses, and critical infrastructure across a treacherous digital landscape. Thank you to DarkOwl’s CEO Mark Turnage, President/CFO Russell Cohen and the entire team for a productive visit. What steps is your organization taking to ensure AI and advanced technologies align with our democratic values? #Cybersecurity #DigitalDemocracy #DarkOwl #ThreatIntelligence
